New Slugcat 'PUPS!' Video + Linux Goal Achieved & Live Stream News!
Thank you for staying with us for these final stretches! Only 3 more days remain... but THIS IS IT! The final alpha video, and for many, the one you have been waiting for! We saved the cutest for last, so here it is: SLUGCAT PUPS VIDEO!
Rain World may be an homage to a decayed and broken world, but all hope is not lost. The next generation lives on, and with it the possibility of a brighter future. Slugcat pups are smart, opinionated, vulnerable and occasionally deadly. Their survival may be in your hands... err... paws.
The introduction of the pups makes an already difficult game even more challenging. Not only do you have to worry about your own hide, but now you must feed, shelter and protect one or more mischievous little young slugcats. And as you have no doubt seen, Rain World is not a forgiving environment!
But they can be an asset to you as well. While not as smart or fast as adult Slugcats, pups can hunt for themselves in a limited fashion, they can hold objects such as rocks or spears and they have even been known to defend themselves against predators. However, you must first win their trust. Pups will watch your actions, and if they feel threatened by you, they will abandon you... or worse!
Thanks to your amazing support and enthusiasm, our ambitious 50k Linux goal has been smashed, and we can officially announce that Rain World be coming to PC, Mac, Linux... and beyond! Any additional funding will be used for polish and making sure Rain World is the best game it can be. Massive thanks to all, and we can't wait to get to work!
Live-stream wrap up party!
Lastly, tonight we will be holding one final live stream party to talk about the new video, chat with you awesome people and generally just have a great time and end this amazing journey on a great note. That will be held tonight on http://twitch.tv/rainworld at 8pm PST / 11pm EST / 5am CET, and you are cordially invited to join us :)
Thank you all for everything! We couldn't have done this without you!
