Although we have been designing and publishing our own games for over 25 years we have always had to produce them on a shoestring budget. You may have played some of our games, such as History of the World, Angola, Kings and Castles, Canal Mania, Viking Fury and Workshop of the World. Over the years we've aspired to improve the components quality to be on a par with professional companies and with 'Promised Land: 1250-587 BC' we want to do just that. Raising funds through Kickstarter will allow us to give you a game that not only plays well and delivers fun and game play satisfaction (these don't always go hand in hand) but also looks and feels great! We know what it's like to open a game and go "Ooh! Great map, terrific meeples!". That's what we want for our games and of course that costs money on a limited run of 1000 games.
If we can raise the £10,000 (money we really do not have ourselves) we can put first-class artwork into the map and cards; put 45 wooden as well as card playing pieces into the deluxe edition and include a giant Ragnar Brothers cloth map in the super deluxe edition!
Gamers all over the world suffer from shipping price problems, so we have researched the best way to back 'Promised Land: 1250-587 BC'. Clubbing together to back jointly means that you make great savings on the shipping costs. Here are some examples:
In the UK backing for £56.00 secures 2 copies of the Standard game; £81.00 secures 3 copies and £108.00 is rewarded with 4 copies - all copies shipped to one address of course.
In Europe backing for £63.00 secures 2 copies of the Standard game; £90.00 secures 3 copies and £115.00 is rewarded with 4 copies - all copies shipped to one address of course.
In North America backing for £70.00 secures 2 copies of the Standard game; £93.00 secures 3 copies and £120.00 is rewarded with 4 copies - all copies shipped to one address of course.
In the Rest of the World backing for £76.00 secures 2 copies of the Standard game: £100.00 secures 3 copies and £124.00 is rewarded with 4 copies - all copies shipped to one address of course.
Obviously you still add £5 for the Deluxe game per person and £10 per person for the Super Deluxe version.
Traders can back the project as well as individuals - see the Rewards for details and should they desire Deluxe or Super Deluxe copies of the game they should add £30 for a case of 6 Deluxe and £60 for a case of Super Deluxe games.

Risks and challenges
Ragnar Brothers have a lot of experience in publishing and distributing our own games and regularly ship individual and multiple copies to customers all over the world. We only use airmail for individual copies (safest way) and established courier services for larger orders.
We use tried and tested suppliers for components, alongside production companies that we have used before with our games such as 'Brief History of the World' and 'Canal Mania'. We are not going to take chances with your money. The businesses we contract with to produce 'Promised Land: 1250-587 BC' will be solid and reliable companies and Steve, Phil and myself (Gary) take great care to provide the best customer service that we possibly can.
Apologies for the long list of Rewards but we have to allow for Backers across the globe....
Stretch goals! We approach full funding and so are able to offer the possibility of further rewards for all backers:
If we reach £12,000 we can have each of the six Kingdom unit icons individually designed by Vicki Paull rather than there being one generic icon.
If we reach £14,000 we can enlarge the Artefacts to make them more visually attractive.
If we reach £16,000 we can commission a custom designed Ark of the Covenant in wood.
These rewards would be available to all those who pledge regardless of whether they have pledged for Standard, Deluxe or Super Deluxe copies.
