A game for 2-5 players, taking 10 - 30 minutes to play.
'Barking Up The Wrong Tree' is one of those games that is born in a moment; in this case an e-mail from Steve in response to the success of a certain other game that Kickstarted at the same time as our own 'DRCongo:'....
'Hey Gary, we've been barking up the wrong tree... Wait ... That's a great name for a game ....'
Designing was terrific fun, with family getting involved and Barney providing canine inspiration.

Marco Primo (our man in Brazil) enabled our ideas for amphomorphic art-work to take wings and very quickly we had something we wanted to share with the world.
We now need funds to get this game produced as Ragnar Brothers' Summer Game for 2015.
Here's the game-play video:
We have decided to modify the current stretch goals in order to promote the project in a different way. Marco has volunteered to produce designs for each Stray dog and we are going to feature his sketches and painting (stage by stage) as he works his magic. We hope this will draw more people to the site and that this in turn will create the momentum needed to reach our target. Fear not .... we will not forget the existing stretch goals and may be able to come up with some more to boot.
Here's the finished sketch for the Newfoundland.
We're hoping that backers will help us by taking part in a competition to choose breeds of dog to feature as Strays. Simply place as a comment or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org a list of your favorite five breeds and we will use the most popular to generate five designs to go with 'Barney the chain-saw'. The winner (i.e. whoever gets nearest the final list) can choose any one other Ragnar Brothers' game as prize!
Whoops! Better say that already in the game are:
Alsatian, Boxer, Chihuahua, Dachshund, Old English Sheep Dog, French Poodle, Great Dane, Husky, Irish Setter, Jack Russell Terrier and Portuguese Water Dog. Phew!
And finally a closer look at the game mechanics.
Many thanks to Rick Royal ('Box of Delights') for rushing out a video so soon after our demo at UK Games Expo. Much appreciated and much more expertly shot than our own efforts!
Caught on camera at UK Games Expo .... I shan't be looking for work on Top Gear!
Risks and challenges
Ragnar Brothers came into being 26 years ago and we have designed and manufactured seventeen games in that time. This is our fourth Kickstarter project and through the support of backers we have been able to continue producing our distinctive (some might say, eccentric) designs. Our previous game 'DRCongo: Hope out of Horror' was Kickstarted in January and it will be posted out on schedule this June. In all our endeavours we give the very best help to all our customers.and try to keep in contact at shows and events as well as through the wonders of the world wide web.
Our challenge is to design interesting and entertaining games, produced to the highest quality we can manage, delivered on schedule (and not too long to wait).
We anticipate 'Barking Up The Wrong Tree' reaching backers no later than October, 2015.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
