Try out Teddy Terror now with a Free playable Demo!
Come and enter a nightmarish world filled with horror and chaos.
A place where a child's dream has turned into a nightmare, never to awaken from it. A world full of monsters, terrifying creatures, demons, ghosts and all the scary things that may run in our imagination.
With skulls, bones and shady creatures wandering and eyeballs lurking, watching our every step before they take us. Will we ever be able to escape this endless torment?
Teddy Terror is a 2D Horror Survival in a retro style where using your environment and surroundings is crucial for survival.
In Teddy Terror you take on the role of a little boy with his Teddybear who wakes up in a nightmare.
With your surroundings as your weapon your goal is to survive the nightmare by facing horrifiying bosses and unimaginable abominations!
The game has several Roguelike elements such as dungeons with total randomization(levels, items, monsters, bosses) and perma-death.
- Escape a hellish world of nightmare filled with vile creatures, dreadful fiends, frightening ghosts and horrifying titan-like abominations. With a final touch of deadly traps, blood spatters, eyeballs and shadowy figures scattered around the world, our little hero has a rough night awaiting.
- Engage in a unique way of eliminating enemies, instead of engaging enemies head-on our hero must use everything the environment has to offer. From deadly medieval traps to modernized weaponry our hero has a wide arrange of methods to escape the clutches of evil.
- Challenge yourself and never underestimate this world of terror as you will find yourself running into your own death or encounter hell spawns that will deny your existence in seconds. So improve your skill and become a master of survival to escape the endless madness and chaos!
I always wondered how it would be if instead of facing enemies head on, the player has to rely on other objects/things to eliminate the threat.
That's how I came up with the core idea of actually running away from monsters and finding a tactical approach to trap enemies and eliminate them, instead of just blowing them into pieces with a gun or anything( they still blow up nicely though!).
- Passive aggressive playstyle - be swift and escape from the clutches of evil or wait for the right moment to strike and eliminate insidious creatures with deadly traps.
- Diverse killing possibilities - Lure hellish creatures in to traps, activate traps by throwing your teddybear or find powerful toys to eradicate every monstrosity that may lurk in the depths of the darkness.
- Roguelike features - permadeath, randomized loot(items and toys), randomized deadly levels with gruesome enemies and gigantic bosses with endless replayability.
- Growth potential - Level up, find items, complete achievements, empower yourself and grow from a helpless child into a killing machine
On a silent cold night a boy is fast asleep with his beloved teddybear, simply named Teddy. As the night became darker and darker, his dreams suddenly turn into a nightmare. As shadowy arms moved slowly around his bed and a shady smile appeared above his head.
The gate to the nightmarish world opened and before the boy could awaken his bed , Teddy and himself were taken. He awoke in a hellish world filled with fiends, dreadful creatures, horrifying titans and deadly traps scattered around.
The boy has no choice but to try to escape the nightmare... Strenght was something the boy lacked, but he made that up with swiftness. He is used to outrun every single kid in the playground. That's why the boy ran and ran to survive with his Teddy close to him.
Teddy has always been his best friend, protecting him from Monsters ever since he was born. Teddy was smart and strong and he can do everything the boy never could do.
Together with Teddy the boy ignores his fear and trust that he will escape his nightmare with his toys as his aid and his best friend near.
Who are we?
Rage Monster Games is a dutch Indie game developing company managed by Gianni Knight and founded in 2014.
Together with Runic Sounds(two talented Sound Design students) we started Teddy Terror as part of the 72 hr Gamejam(IndiesVsPewDiePie) in November.
But we didn't stop there.
Now several months in development we made huge changes with an all new experience.
Teddy Terror has finally taken form in a way that we would like to share it with the world.
We want to be able to share our efforts with you and deliver a great gaming experience with a refreshing taste to it!

I started developing games since I was 15, but never published a real game until 2014 When I picked myself up, decided to start developing Apps and founded Rage Monster Games.
Taking that first step has opened the gates to this immense world of Games where imagination and creativity can roam freely and take form in our craft.

Born with the talent for composing music and sound effects, it's been a pleasure to be able to work with these nice guys.
We had an immediate click(Gianni and RunicSounds) the first time we met each other at school. From there on out grew not only a friendship, but a collaboration that enabled me to take Teddy Terror to a next level.
We want to let the world know about Teddy Terror.
But in order to do that we had to go visit several events, meet people, get licenses and we used every single penny from our own pocket to fund our passion and dreams.
Teddy Terror has grown from a small Gamejam to a much much larger project and we need help of the community to keep it alive and running.
Being able to complete Teddy Terror in the time frame we had in mind (Mid/Third Quarter of 2015) we need alot of dedication, focus and time in order to complete and deliver a game where we give our hearts and soul into creating it.
Being able to fund our project gives us the freedom to fully engage ourselves in the world of Teddy Terror.
We have set our goal at a price we think that gives us enough freedom to finish the game we have in mind
Exposure: Getting our game out there requires alot of time, but also alot of marketing, promoting and being able to share the game with the world. and we want to do that to it's fullest and funds can help us share our dreams to the mass.
Company: Managing a company requires some funding itself; taxes, licensing, so reducing this weight helps us focus our energy resulting in a much better game.
Testing: I want the world to experience a game where my heart and souls are poured into. It can be very time-consuming to test and check if the experience and feel will be communicated to you without being interrupted by a glitch or error. We want to deliver a solid game for you to enjoy at it's fullest.
Risks and challenges
During the months after the initial gamejam version of Teddy Terror.
Every day the mind was filled with new ideas and concepts and it was necessary for these to be written down.
After much planning and sketching ideas were realized and Teddy Terror began to shape into it's newest form. From randomization to epic Boss fights the core of Teddy Terror was realized and our biggest challenge was complete for now.
Then there was marketing, promoting and exposing the game to the world. A frightening enterprise to do on your own, but we got alot of help from fellow developers, press, youtubers, streamers and we keep on moving forward to bringing Teddy Terror to life.
That's when we realized that with all of the moral support, our motivation kept on rising and we were able to create a solid Demo in about 3 months. Working hard and carefully to polish our game enough to dare to share it with everyone.
Now we've struggled, fell, picked ourselves up and became even more experienced and better than before and every challenge that we may face, we will tackle that head on and keep our eyes open to achieve the goal we have set our eyes upon from the beginning.
We never stopped trying our best, we kept on going and we will keep on going because of you, all of our supporters who helps and motivates us during hard times. And we are grateful that we may share our efforts with you.
Let's keep on moving forward and we shall see the light in the endless darkness.
