From her first visit to New York; to her first cosplay, 2018 is a milestone-filled year for our artist, Rachta Lin. 2018, ARTIST JOURNEY OF RACHTALIN is a compilation of all that, and more, condensed into 60 content-rich pages.
Talented Thai artist Asuka111 graces this year's journal with his foreword. Filled to the brim with her 2018 artworks; event highlights; and never-before-released projects, join Rachta and Darren as they walk you through the pages to explore the richness of her 2018 Artist Journey.
Rachta's artist journey that took her around the world started 3 years ago in 2016. Her previous inspirational artist journal 'Artist Jourey of 2017' saw it reach it's crowdfund goal within 16hrs! Now entering it's 3rd volume, her latest adventures are chronicled within this perfectly-bound book of over 50 individually-designed pages - each image and snippet hand-picked by Rachta herself.
These personal moments give you a closeup peek into a travelling artist's world, how different cultures and environment affects her art. The collection serves to inspire fellow creators and offers art lovers a different perspective of Rachta's creations.
This year, we are extremely honored to have Asuka111 write the foreword for the '2018, ARTIST JOURNEY OF RACHTA LIN'. You would probably have seen Asuka111's artwork around - the multi-award winning artist is well known for his vibrant and flowy digital works. Born in Thailand, Asuka111 graduated with an Engineering background but decided to pursue his passion in the arts instead. When not drawing, he enjoys manga, photography and technology.
We have been waiting for this very moment to welcome you onboard Rachta's 2018 Artist Journey. Thank you for being here with us and we hope that you will support us on this adventure.
Rachta's fascination with manga and animation got her bit by the geek culture bug early. Since leaving her corporate life behind, this artist, with her traditional & digital art, has been traveling around the world, attending events and meeting fans – proving that the ability to create is within all of us.
Fun Fact: The red dragon plushie guards her 24/7. He's called Wasabi (despite not being green)!
Thank you so much for supporting Rachta's Kickstarter. This isn't just about the project. To us, it's a show of trust, support, and encouragement for her passion We are excited to bring you these unique rewards as a show of gratitude for your support.

We have confirmed convention attendance for Doujin Market and Anime Expo this year. You may choose to collect your rewards (tiers that include art books only) at Rachta’s booth in these conventions. The self-collection rates are much more affordable (as compared to shipping) and already include Kickstarter’s fees and packaging materials. The difference in shipping rates will be refunded when you collect the rewards at the events. Rates and event information are listed in the 'Shipping Rates’ table in the following section.
What you will need to collect your rewards at the booth:
- Photo ID (Driver’s License, Passport, National ID etc)
- Proof of Kickstarter Backing (Screenshot of Kickstarter Backing, Backer’s Email etc)
Note: The rewards will be mailed to you should you miss self-collection at the event.
2018, ARTIST JOURNEY OF RACHTA LIN is thoroughly thought out to feature high-quality materials while still maintaining shipping efficiency. Having learned from our previous Kickstarter campaign and over ten years of logistic experiences, our shipping & handling is efficient. All Supporter Rewards are shipped from Singapore via registered mail with tracking. We are pleased to share that we did not encounter any shipping incidents or mishaps during our last campaign!

Rachta's artist journey would not have gone as smoothly without your support. Last year, we are truely astounded by the amount of support showed to us, when Rachta's 2017 artist journal reached its funding goal within 16hrs. By the time the campaign ended, we surpassed all expectations to reach over 700% of our original funding. Thank you, our awesome supporters! Here are some highlights:
Risks and challenges
The team is well experienced in both the creative and production aspects. Rachta Lin, an artist of over 26 years of creative experience is being assisted by a production team with over 18 years of exhibition-scale production and logistic experience. The team has provided production support for over 330 events, of which over 60 are of Rachta's events & appearances. Naturally, all manner of risk cannot be removed. However, we have kept the amount of risk to a minimum with our experience and incorporated buffers for all potential issues that might arise. Nevertheless, we are committed to staying on schedule and communicating any deviations that may occur. We are glad to share that we did not encounter any problems or delays with our previous Kickstarter campaign (ARTIST JOURNEY OF 2017, RACHTA LIN) and delivered Backer rewards ahead of schedule.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
