Songwriter / Recording Artist, Rachel Stacy hopes her music brings more awareness to Histiocytosis.
Rachel Stacy loves what she does for a living, but has a purpose for it all. She is on a life mission to raise awareness for Brendan's Wish, a foundation representing the need to find a cure for HISTIOCYTOSIS. HISTIO (H) is a rare disease that affects the immune system and is commonly overlooked. Although the disease is mostly found in children between the ages of one and three, Brendan contracted HLH later in life.
Brendan lost his fight to HISTIO at 17 years of age, soon after he was diagnosed. After studying further about the disease, Rachel fell in love with Brendan's story and began her journey. She tattooed "THE WISH" on her back along with the symbolic blue ribbon that she hands out at every show in honor of Brendan and others that have passed from this horrible, painful disease.
“Damn You Look Good”
The song that started it all! My kid brother and I wrote this and it’s still going strong! (Available on all digital media sites)
Don and Angela Cage, Brendan's parents, fans of Rachel and now close friends, are also on a mission to fulfillBrendan's Wish. Brendan's last wish was that no child ever go through what he went through. If Brendan had been properly diagnosed, there is belief that he would still be alive today. Please read his story. Rachel hopes her music and and her voice will continue to shed some light on this killer disease and persuade the government to set in to fund, research to find a cure for Histiocytosis.
This will be the 1st single released after Full Circle is fully funded!
Histocytosis is believed to occur in 1,200,000 children, but any age group can be affected, from infancy through adulthood. In newborns and very young infants, it occurs in 1-2 per million. It is, however, believed to be under-diagnosed, since some patients may have no symptoms, while others have symptoms that are mistaken for injury or other conditions. It occurs most often between the ages of 1-3 years and may appear as a single lesion or can affect many body systems, such as skin, bone, lymph glands, liver, lung, spleen, brain, pituitary gland and bone marrow.
Histiocytic disorders are a group of diseases that occur when there is an over-production of white blood cells known as histiocytes that can lead to organ damage and tumor formation. This group is made up of a wide variety of conditions that can affect both children and adults. The cause of this disease is unknown, although many possibilities have been explored, including viruses, exposure to toxins in the environment, family history and geography.

This was my last single. Watch the official video, produced and sponsored by The Producers Lounge in Dallas, TX.
"FULL CIRCLE" is a very special album for Rachel because it represents many difficult, life changing experiences she went through while recording this album. The album's production was funded by Dr. Mike Thomas, DDS and family. Rachel is extremely grateful to the entire Thomas family for their love and support. The album was completed at Wavelight Studios in Fort Worth, a studio owned by guitar player Larry Dillon.
At present, Rachel Stacy is trying to reach out to music lovers all over the world with her new album. She has been through this process in the past while working for different labels and corporations. Now, as an independent artist, she needs funding support to repeat the same success with "FULL CIRCLE."
Any funds raised over and above the funding goal will be spent to release FULL CIRCLE to an even larger market. This project will only be funded if at least $70,000 is pledged by April 16, 2015.
