InSpectres (September 6th, 2013)
88 minutes, HD

Directed by Darren Orange Written by Matt Forbeck, J.A.Dohm Created by Jared Sorensen
In a world where ghosts, ghouls, and goblins are a common place, the InSpectres are the only exterminators capable of eliminating supernatural nuisances! After a run in with a zombie, Lucas joins the InSpectres as an agent in training. He, his mentor Tracey, and company embark on an eerily funny adventure aimed at recapturing entities freed from a government holding facility by a corporate saboteur. They encounter a variety of released oddities on their path to identifying the saboteur: an invisible Hollywood fan-boy, a party animal wolf-man, and a group of German gremlins who fix retro arcade machines. The motley crew tracks the culprit across the country to prevent Armageddon. In the end, the Inspectres’ heart and persistence prove exactly why they are the ones who “...fight the forces of darkness so you don’t have to!”

Reactor 88 Studios burst onto the filmmaking scene with the premiere of the Brave New World short at GenCon 2009. Since 2002, Director Darren Orange and Producer Phil Norton have worked on developing and creating exciting projects and doing so in a way that builds lasting friendships. This has lead to Reactor 88 Studios becoming the de facto standard for adapting gaming industry properties into feature films. The culmination of this was our theatrical premiere of InSpectres in September of last year!
Now our journey continues with our first ever run of DVDs and Blu-Rays!

InSpectres is going to be successful thanks to the continuing growth in popularity of the Comedy Horror genre. This film fits in the vein of Ghostbusters, Shaun of the Dead, The Office, and Evil Dead 2. One exciting and unique element the film brings to the genre is its appeal to a much wider audience by toning down the typically vulgar humor and gore found in other properties. Through testing with our current footage we found that it plays especially well with children, teens, and women of all ages. This creates a very wide demographic beyond our initial target market of young adult males and established fans of the genre.
Audiences have been looking for a Ghostbusters style film for the past decade and it is difficult to find anything with a similar feel. InSpectres retains this feel while moving it forward into the current generation, and applies universal elements that help any average audience member feel at home.

Rather than get taken advantage of in distribution and releasing contracts, or sign away the rights to our work, Reactor 88 Studios decided to take InSpectres to movie theaters ourselves, so we could make sure every detail was how we wanted it, both financially and creatively.
Darren worked closely with established theaters, and was able to create a partnership with Muvico theatres for an exclusive theatrical run in Chicago. This was so successful that they extended the run for an additional week, and even premiered the film at their Los Angeles location!

We did it! We are funded, but let's keep going!

Risks and challenges
Unlike most projects, our film is finished and premiered last year at Muvico Theaters in Chicago. The only foreseeable issues once we are successfully funded would have to do with production and fulfillment. Other than a possible delay in distribution, these would have no impact on on our overall goal of getting InSpectres into homes and conventions everywhere.
We will include constant updates and will be completely transparent should any issues arise during this process. As soon as the product arrives at our fulfillment center we will begin shipping to all our backers! Our current goal is to have our rewards in transit to backers by GenCon in August of this year!
