Time to face the music
Dear backers and followers of Hypnose,
It's time to face the music and call it a day. Today, we're cancelling this campaign to focus our energy on the future and a possible relaunch, using the lessons we learned during this campaign.
It wasn't easy trying to figure out what these lessons are, actually, because we received a lot of positive feedback on the game and not that many negative remarks. Some people loved the artwork, others hated it. But almost everyone who played Hypnose, liked the game. Maybe not the artwork, but the mechanics were liked by most.
Yes, the funding goal was a bit high, but so were the printing costs and a minimum print run of a 1000 copies. So, we'll be looking into lowering the production costs.
Personally, we think the timing wasn't perfect. Lot's of games were coming out before or during Spiel, as well as Kickstarter Campaigns and people saved up their funds for the big ones. Or so we think.
We had a great time at Spiel, but so did the other publishers in the countless Halls...
Anyway, we will try and create more awareness about the game and get a fanbase going. In the meantime, we'll get to work on streamlining the production cost and improving the game even further with the feedback we received on the materials and mechanic. And when everything is fixed, we'll anounce a relaunch in the future, so we can still makes this great game available to gamers!
