Whether we’re commuting to work, heading to the hills, hammering a spin session, or moving to-and-fro about town, at Quoc shoes, cycling is part of everything we do. We’re a team of cyclists, designers and shoemakers, obsessed with quality, comfort and simple innovation.
For the past few years, we’ve been making city cycling footwear that works on and off the bike, helping thousands of riders transition from bike to bar - and even the boardroom - in style and comfort.
Now, we’re ready to announce our latest bike-friendly shoe - a new type of performance sneaker inspired by cycling’s colour and culture, which we call, Weekend.
Ready for rain or shine, Weekend features a watertight outsole that helps keep your feet dry and comfortable, no matter how many puddles you pass through. Because you can never tell where the day might take you, Weekend employs antibacterial contact fabrics, helping your feet to stay comfortably dry and odour-free throughout even repeated wear or changing environments. And thanks to its dirt and water repellent upper, your Weekend will need only light care to bounce back to box-fresh.
For casual riders, we crafted it with a strengthened mid-board that makes every ride more enjoyable, whether you’re taking the long way home, or spinning to the beat. For serious commuters, Weekend supports clip-in pedal connectivity (SPD/MTB compatibility), so you can add your favourite cleats for even greater power efficiency and control.
At Quoc, we pride ourselves on being an environmentally focused company. Which is why we partnered with US brand BLOOM and integrated their plant-based, performance-driven foam directly into Weekend. BLOOM takes excessive, eco-destroying algae from the environment, transforming sunlight, water and pollution into renewable plant biomass. Which means for every Weekend we make, 395 half-litre bottles of water will be returned to the environment, and 37 12” balloons of CO2 will be prevented from entering the atmosphere.

Sizing Comparison | Weekend sizing is similar to the fit of many popular running shoes (within a few mm longer than most).
Half Sizes | If you typically wear ½ sizes, we recommend sizing up for a more relaxed fit or sizing down for a snug fit.
Full Sizes | If you typically wear a full size, we recommend the same size for the best possible fit and comfort.
Size Exchanges | Getting the perfect fit can be difficult especially online. It’s our mission that you get the best possible fit with your Weekend. Send us a message and we’ll be happy to help you out with your exchange!
Still not sure about your size? Here's how you can measure for the right fit.
Place a piece of paper against the wall. Place one foot on the piece of paper with your heel against the wall. Trace around your feet making sure not to move your heel. Measure your marking from the highest point of your toes to the middle of the heel in cm. Take the resulting figure and compare this to our size chart above.
If you're still unsure, no worries! Simply message us here on Kickstarter and our friendly staff will assist you.

Quoc has three global distribution centres: one in the UK, one in the USA and one in Taiwan. For the majority, we will ship directly from our nearest warehouses so that the shoes can be delivered to you as smoothly as possible. If import duties were to be charged, we will cover that for you entirely (applicable to only 41 countries. See the list in the FAQ at the top). For circumstances that dictate otherwise, we will decide what's the best way to ship based on your location.
We have a dedicated logistics team handling your return and exchange requests to make sure you receive the right shoes smoothly with as little hassle as possible.
*Please note: customers will be responsible for exchange shipping cost: £10 for the UK and continental USA / £15 for all other countries.
Some people have asked us, "Quoc is a fully functioning footwear brand with retailers and its own online store - why are we releasing products on Kickstarter?" For us, the answer is clear, and it comes down to a few key factors:
The Kickstarter community is vibrant and full of people who are excited about backing new and exciting opportunities first, and they understand the associated value. You're tuned in to what's going on, and you communicate with creators as well as other backers to help the entire community learn and grow. As a brand, this kind of interaction with our customers is invaluable.
The crowdfunding model allows us to pass our savings on to you in a very real way. We offer wholesale pricing to you in exchange for helping us pay for the initial development and production costs. All subsequent production runs of this product will be priced at an MSRP which is roughly double what you'll pay here.
Developing and producing new products the traditional way is risky because you don't truly know if it will resonate with your customers. If it doesn't, you've wasted a lot of time and money. Kickstarter is the ultimate free market. If you like it, you back it. If enough people back it, we make it.

Risks and challenges
Quoc is a fully-operational footwear brand. Although this is a special project, it’s not outside the realm of what we do everyday.
As we’re not factory owners, there’s always the risk of a factory closure or an inability to produce at our primary facility, due to capacity issues. In the unlikely event of such an occurrence, Quoc will move production to another facility that we’ve already vetted. We could also face issues with our current material suppliers or production delay from our primary partner factory, but again, we have experience dealing with these situations and have alway found ways to resolve any issues.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
