About this project
New Quest Cards and Campaign Tokens allow players to "level up" their teams between adventures, and also allow for Win/Loss conditions when playing Solo and Cooperative games.
Dungeon Alliance is a deck-building, dungeon-crawling miniatures adventure game that allows players to send 1 - 4 different teams of adventurers into perilous dungeons in search of experience and treasure. There are options for competitive, cooperative, and solo play!
At the start of the game, each player drafts his or her own team of four heroes and uses tactical movement and cardplay to overcome the dungeon's monsters and acquire treasures. Rival teams may compete with one another to slay monsters, or even battle one another for complete domination.
Dungeon Alliance may be played with or without player-vs-player combat at the players' discretion.

We have now unlocked the Stretch Goal for the Deck of Many Treasures! Here are some details on how it will work:
- The Deck of Many Treasures will be a separate deck of cards.
- Whenever a Hero opens a Treasure Chest or Locked Chest, he or she will have the option of either just receiving XP as normal, or "digging deeper" into the chest for an additional reward.
- If a Hero pushes their luck by digging deeper, they will draw one of three types of cards:
- Magic Item: The Hero discovers a one-shot magical item that they can choose to use once per game. This card goes into the Alliance Deck, and is discarded immediately after use.
- Trap!: The Hero springs a trap. The Hero will have the opportunity to disarm the trap (rolling the Dungeon Die and using any special cards that help) to earn XP. If the Hero fails, they suffer the effects of the trap.
- Mimic: The treasure chest springs to life and attacks! If the Hero can defeat the Mimic, he or she earns bonus XP. Otherwise, it will attack any Hero who approaches it for the rest of the game.

Thanks to the feedback of the Dungeon Alliance Community, we have added 12 Quest Cards that create an alternate source of XP during the game, as well as a way to earn Campaign Points that players can use to increase the strength of their dungeon parties over the course of several adventures!
Quest Cards also provide a Win / Loss Condition for solo and cooperative games for those players who prefer an extra level of challenge!
We have included these new components and rules to the base game of Dungeon Alliance at no additional cost to backers! If the Kickstarter Campaign reaches its first goal, every copy of the game will include these new components.
Every Kickstarter backer receives the Champions of Dungeon Alliance Expansion for free! For a limited time, this expansion will only be available to Kickstarter backers.
The Champions of Dungeon Alliance Expansion includes the Hero Figures, Hero Cards, and Starting Deck Cards for four new Heroes, and also includes several new Upgrades. As we reach Stretch Goals, we may add even more elements to the expansion! But no matter how big it gets, it's all yours for FREE right now!
You will receive everything that ends up in the first expansion, except for the printed expansion box and rulebook. The rulebook will be downloadable to all backers in PDF format.
Every Kickstarter Backer will receive exclusive Epic Hero versions of the heroes from the game. Players who have drafted many cards for their favorite heroes can switch their Hero Cards out for these alternate art versions as a sign of the heroes' progress.
Although these exclusive cards do not change the gameplay of Dungeon Alliance, they add a new level of immersion to the game. These Epic Hero cards are a special thank-you to our backers and will never be available after the Kickstarter campaign (except for charity events).
At the start of the campaign, there will be 5 Epic Hero Cards available for free to all backers. As we reach stretch goals, we will commission more art to add more free cards to the exclusive set!
UPDATE: We have accomplished our first four Stretch Goals, and so now all 21 Epic Hero Cards have been unlocked and are included in the Kickstarter version of Dungeon Alliance!
Our Dungeon Champion Pledge Level ($120) includes a full set of painted miniatures. This will include all 17 miniatures from the base set and all miniatures that become part of the first expansion. This will be in addition to the set of unpainted miniatures that come with both the game and the expansion.

Spanish Translations - New!

Form Your Alliance
At the start of the game, each player drafts his or her own alliance of four heroes. This allows players to customize the type of team they'd like to play.
You will receive the Hero Card, Hero Figure, and 3 unique Starting Deck Cards associated with each of your heroes. Together, all 12 of your Starting Deck Cards form the basis of your personal Alliance Deck. Because of this, each player begins with a completely different Alliance Deck at the start of the game.
Build Your Deck
As you defeat monsters and overcome challenges, you will earn Experience Point Tokens (XP). You can flip these XP Tokens face down to purchase Upgrade Cards for your Alliance Deck.
Conquer the Dungeon!
During each cycle of the game round, you will activate one of your heroes to move and attack monsters on the dungeon map. You will then have the opportunity to spend XP to purchase new upgrade cards that will go directly into your hand.
After each of your opponents has moved a hero, you will each control one monster on the board to strike back at the heroes. The players control the monsters so that the monster attacks will be both strategic and meaningful.
There are four play cycles to each game round, after which the current round ends and the next round begins. At the end of the fourth game round, the Alliance that has acquired the most XP Tokens wins!
Our two main packages, Dungeon Ally ($80) and Dungeon Champion ($120), ship anywhere in the world. The games will ship from our warehouses in the U.S. and Germany in order to avoid customs charges for our customers in the European Union.

Risks and challenges
We will be printing the game in the U.S. with Ludo Fact, an acclaimed German printer that has recently opened a factory in Indiana. Printing games involves acquiring quotations in advance for production, sculpting, tooling, and shipping, which we have already acquired. All sculpts for the game have been completed, and we are ready to produce the final molds for production.
There may be unforeseen issues that arise during the printing and shipping process, whether through production errors or shipping delays. We have 12 years of experience working with printers and resolving these sorts of issues, so we are fully prepared to face such difficulties if they arise.
For board games, a publisher on Kickstarter must also carefully calculate the shipping costs from the warehouse to the individual customers, or else they will face the possibility that they have not raised enough money to cover these expenses. We have made these calculations for shipping to our customers throughout the world.
In addition, in order for the game to be "EU friendly," we will be shipping copies to our customers in the European Union from our printer's headquarters in Germany. This will allow our European customers to avoid paying any additional customs fees associated with having the games shipped from outside the EU.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
