Frequently Asked Questions
It simply isn't possible to accurately determine how much your reward shipment will cost ahead of time, as the weight can change based on which reward tier(s) you put together to determine your total quantity. Further, packing and shipping rates may change before we can deliver due to shipping methods (we have been in talks with Quartermaster Logistics and may use their services to ship from various fulfillment centers if the campaign funds well. We have also been considering other options and a decision will be made based on the campaign's success. Rather than heavily pad our shipping charges to cover potential unknowns, we'd prefer to charge more accurately, so we'll wait until after you finalize your order after the campaign ends, using BackerKit or another method deemed best for the outcome.
Also, rolling the cost of shipping into the reward tiers means Kickstarter, Stripe and BackerKit (if we use them, which we'd like to) take a cut off the top. We are running a lean campaign and will do our best to keep shipping prices as low as possible.Last updated:
Friendly shipping is shipping from within a region, rather than overseas, in order to avoid import fees and associated taxes. It's complicated, but what we will be doing if we reach the First Stretch Goal is shipping to fulfillment centers within various regions, if need be, in order to pay the import fees and taxes for our International neighbors so they don't have to. Then they would ship to you. i.e. We will ship from within the EU to the UK. Please see the list below of the locations that are covered by Friendly Shipping.
We should be able to accommodate that list using Quartermaster Logistics. We may still have to dip into our own pockets to help cover the costs, but we don't want our backers to have to pay any more than is absolutely necessary. VAT and such can drive the shipping bill up quickly, so this is a boon for you if you live outside of the US and we reach that Stretch Goal, which seems likely at this point. Unfortunately, even though dice don't weigh a lot unless you get quite a few, there are minimum weight standards to ship overseas and even regionally, depending on services. We will do everything we can to help keep costs down.
*EU includes: United Kingdom (?), Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
**Rest of Asia includes: Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.Last updated:
While the UK left the EU, and we’re not sure how that will all pan out, one thing we do know is that there is a transition period in which the UK will conduct business as usual (ends this December.) Even if we have a manufacturing and/or shipping issue, we’ve padded our delivery window for dice we have already made prototypes for, so there shouldn’t be anything to worry about. It is possible that some dice that are offered in a Stretch Goal that may not have been prototyped will cause a delay (we need to ship all dice together to keep everyone's costs down), but even if that happens, we shouldn't have any problem getting everything delivered prior to the December window closing.Last updated:
Simply select the tier that's closest to the number of dice you want in total. Then add additional funds to cover the remaining dice at the selected tier pricing. Whatever tier you selected will be used for pricing. Shipping is separate. After the Kickstarter is over, we will give you an opportunity to tell us exactly which dice you want and the quantity for the amount you pledged. See Bulk Savings, above, for more.Last updated:
