What is QiPack?
We believe that wireless capabilities offer a better way of living. When we envisioned the new generation of charging on-the-go, we wanted to create a solution that was universal, mobile and completely wireless - QiPack was the answer. This inductive charging pad offers wireless charging and a backup battery pack all in one sleek device. Say goodbye to the hassle of cords, tangled wires and bulky chargers, and say hello to easy, on-the-go charging with QiPack.
How Does it Work?
There is built-in 3000mAh li-ion rechargeable battery, QiPack is an universal external backup pack for USB devices.
When it comes to wireless inductive charging, phones fall into one of two categories:
Qi-enabled Phones: such as Google Nexus 4/5, Moto Droid Maxx, LG G2 and more (See infographic below), Just place on the QiPack and your phone charges wirelessly.
Non Qi-enabled Phones: such as the iPhone 4/4S/5/5S, Samsung Galaxy S3/S4/S5/Note 2/3, HTC One and more (See infographic below), require a Case or Coil receiver in order to charge inductively.
Diamond-Cut Edge and Alloy Band - QiPack is crafted with a high level of precision to achieve our desired look. Made out of alloy steel, which is three times stronger than standard steel, the band provides a protective enclosure and allows for QiPack’s incredibly thin and refined design. We also used a crystalline diamond to cut the chamfers (beveled edges) on the QiPack, giving our device that sleek look we wanted. By using recycled materials, such as aluminum and ABS, and by staying BFR- and PVC-free, we made sure that QiPack meets environmental standards, as well as our own.
Thin and Sleek - QiPack’s thin and sleek design makes it perfect for charging whenever necessary. At only 8.9 millimeters thick, simply slip QiPack in your pocket with your phone to charge up your device anywhere at anytime. The thin, lightweight and sleek design allows you to use it anywhere from a restaurant to a business meeting without cramping your style.
Powerful - No worries, we didn’t compromise power or features for design! The Wireless Efficiency engineers worked on improving the internal construction to calculate on micron to produce the best possible combination of MM - a maximum battery 3000mAh capacity with 8.9 millimeters of thickness for minimum dimensions. This allowed us to create a small and sleek charging device without sacrificing performance.
High-Efficiency and Rapidly Charging - Optimized on the most stable wireless charging chips and the latest WPC Qi 1.1 standards, QiPack's wireless charging has a transmitting efficiency of up to 75% - 78%, and improving on Powerboost IC and MCU (Microcontroller-unit), the mobile charging efficiency will reach 85%. In layman's terms, that means that means QiPack is highly efficient and rapidly charges your device.

QiPack all started with the idea of making wireless charging easy and mobile. We are constantly jetsetting around and wanted to make powering up our phones a simple task. Instead of going on a search for an outlet, our cords and an adapter (if necessary), we thought, “how easy would it be if there was a tangle-free solution to charging on-the-go?” This sparked our idea for the QiPack.
What started out as just an idea turned into sketches, and from there transformed into the QiPack we have today.
1. Structure Design- We were annoyed with devices that provided power, but were bulky and annoying to carry around with you, so we specifically designed QiPack to give users both function and style. Our 3000mAh wireless charger is contained in a sleek 8.9 millimeters-thick device, so we didn't have to sacrifice the sleek design for power. The ultra-thin aluminum shell and band encase the high density battery cell to keep both you and your devices safe from harm.
2. Components and Hardware Development - We've worked hard and collaborated with Wireless Efficiency engineers for months to create QiPack’s rechargeable Li-Ion Polymer battery pack. It has been a long journey from manufacturing of bi-cells to stacking the bi-cell layers to vacuum sealing the battery to comprehensive testing, but our thorough and highly-controlled process will help ensure that the battery is fully functional for our backers.
3. Inspection, Testing and Certification - We plan on using EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) to make sure that QiPack’s equipment is compatible with other systems so they do not interfere or prevent the other from operating correctly. Also, there will be a series of procedures to ensure quality control so that each manufactured product meets our high expectations and requirements. With QiPack, we’ll be partnering with a manufacturer that has the experience and knowledge to produce the best wireless charger possible for you.
MFi (Made for iPhone) Certification
We plan to source the MFi compliant case receiver from an MFi Manufacturing Licensee. The Manufacturing Licensee will be authorized to manufacture the special case receiver for QiPack and will take responsibility for all program requirements on behalf of our company.
We decided to bring to QiPack to life with a Kickstarter campaign because it is made for normal people like you and me. Like us, you all have your smartphones with you 24/7 and are constantly using them. QiPack allows you to stay connected while you’re traveling, enjoying a day at the beach, at the office or spending time with family and friends. The compact and sleek design allows you to slip it in your bag or pocket for easy, hassle-free use.
With a successful Kickstarter campaign, we’ll be able to give everyone the ideal solution for wireless charging. The funds we raise will go towards our manufacturing costs to produce the QiPack. Help us rid everyone of those tangled cords and annoying outlet searches by backing QiPack today!

Risks and challenges
Over the past 12 years of working in the import business, I have created strong relationships with material and manufacturing partners. By working closely with these partners, we’ll be able to cut down the cost and also help ensure on-time delivery. Plus, we’re very lucky to have the support of our family and friends to help us get the initial prototypes engineered, built and tested, which allowed us to make big improvements on the structure, design and electronics during the three prototype development stages. However, there are always challenges that arise when manufacturing any hardware product. We see two main obstacles we need to overcome.
First is testing the electrical reliability. After our initial prototype testing, we will send it to a certification lab for them to completely inspect our QiPack. This inspection includes electromagnetic compatibility, restriction of hazardous substances compliance and electronic security certification.
Second, mass manufacturing isn’t the same as creating a prototype. We will need to prepare a standard operating procedure to make sure mass production is efficiently producing high-quality products.
