Hi there, adventurer! Looking for more dice in some unique designs and colors? You're in a good place!
Some of you may already know that Q WORKSHOP is the manufacturer of some pretty unique RPG dice. We've been around for 14 years now, and we've produced so many dice sets that we've lost count already ;)
Throughout the years we’ve also created some dice designs that we loved but didn’t make for various reasons: too many already scheduled releases, license ideas that just didn’t work out, and so on. It hurt us deeply to have them hidden - and now we can finally give them a chance!
We're starting with 5 designs in one color version each. More to come!
No, these are not black blank dice ;) We will ask you to choose the design and color of the dice sets after the campaign ends - in our Pledge Manager. You've got time until then to decide!
The mat's format is B3 (353mm x 500mm, or 13.9in x 19.7in), and it's got Emil's awesome artwork on one side and a solid rubber on the other.
And yes, you can also follow him on Instagram :)
Also, he's the guy who invented the famous April Fool's prank with the Furry dice.
Here are some pictures of the real dice!
Choose the Pledge Level - at this point, you only choose the quantity of the sets that you wish to order. They all have the same price. You'll choose the designs and colors in the Pledge Manager AFTER the campaign. You can pay the exact amount needed, or add an extra for some add-ons. You can also increase your pledge in any moment of the campaign.
You can get one additional die at no extra cost, if you subscribe to our newsletter here.
If you want to get some add-ons, you can change your pledge during the campaign - either by jumping to a different pledge level, or increasing the pledged amount.
Your credit card will be charged after the campaign ends. Kickstarter then has up to 14 days to collect the payments, and after that it transfers the money to us so that we can start the production.
Well, we've had some experience with it, and it is really a great place to be 100% sure that our product meets the customers' requirements. In this project, we just give you the options - and you tell us what you want. Isn't that the perfect solution?
Also, we just love the community feeling that arises around the campaign. There's some magic in it!
Our dice are made of polymer: injection-molded and then painted. Each die is then polished and undergoes a thorough quality control.
The design is engraved in the dice, not just painted on the surface :)
So, you've found the most interactive section in this campaign! As the funding goal is not so high, we wanted to spice things up a bit and to offer you some opportunities to have fun.
So here they are - our Community Goals!
You'll find all the links in the buttons below!
How does it work?
Once a Community Goal is reached, the dice set with a specific design gets the matching dice bag. It's that simple.
A maximum of 1 bag of each design will be added for free to each backer order.
You don't need to pay any extra cash or advise us in any way, we'll add the bags automatically to your order. If we manage to reach the goals only partially, (for example, we unlock 3 out of 5), only these sets will get their bags.
So, for example, if you order 3 sets (and let's assume that all bags are unlocked during the campaign), here's what happens:
- if you choose to have 1 x Bloodsucker dice set, 1 x Wizard and 1 x Halloween Pumpkin, you'll get a matching bag for each one of those.
- if you choose to have 3 x Bloodsucker dice sets, we'll only add 1 Bloodsucker bag to your order. You can also purchase the bag as a regular add-on, of course.
The unlocked bags will also appear as add-ons, so if you like them a lot, you can get more!
Already subscribed to out newsletter? That's cool. We will compare the two databases after the campaign ends and if your e-mail is there, we will add the bonus D20 to your pledge.
You can find them here :)
August-September 2018 - campaign
Second half of September 2018 - campaign wrap-up: collecting pledges and importing the data to the Pledge Manager
October 2018: filling out the info in the Pledge Manager
November 2018 - January 2019: production
February 2019: fulfillment!
For our US backers: In the Pledge Manager you'll be able to choose between the more economical USPS shipping or more secure Fedex. Both shipping methods will have tracking available.
The shipping rates might go up depending on the final weight of the pledge and/or the add-ons that you add to your pledge.
Please bear in mind that these shipping rates are orientative only. The exact shipping rate will be charged in the Pledge manager after the campaign.
As with the previous campaign, we will organize the shipping for all US pledges from a US warehouse. The goal is to spare our backers the unnecessary customs fees. Once we know the exact quantity and weight of the packages, we will crunch the possibilities and decide on a one that is both reliable and fast.
Risks and challenges
We've created and fulfilled two Kickstarter projects so far - the first one was fulfilled within a year, and the second one in seven months. We've got our own factory and warehouse in Poland, Europe, so the production is 100% under our control. We've got 14 years of experience in making dice, so we can assure you that every possible problem that might occur during the dice production has already happened to us, and we've dealt with it - including a fire in the factory, which is a thrilling story that we might tell you some day, by the way.
So, unless something definitely "force majeure" happens (like the zombie apocalypse, or the Spanish Inquisition), you will get your dice sooner rather then later. We pinky-promise!
