Can you please stop sending me "PYYROS is back on kickstarter!"?
I know it is, I pledged!
Can I unsub to the old campaign and still get updates on the new one?
      Thanks, it is annoying me

@Michael McClain, I'm actually very glad to announce that we are relaunching on September 13th and hope we can count on all our previous backers for a big re-launch.
Thank you everyone for your continued support!

@Brian Hayes, we use the Panasonic NCR18650B 3400mAh Li-Ion rechargeable battery. I have found the Pyyros to run 4+ hours on Hi, 18+ hours on Low, and around 6hours for strobe.

@Alexander Smith, Thank you very much! We only have the current video of the turbine for now. We are still improving the design and over-all performance. The Production turbine will have a water tight "pig tail" extension that has a female USB socket attached. Output is rated at 5v 2.1A @ 300rpm to give you power instantly using wind or water. At that rate you will have enough power to operate a cell phone with a depleted battery instantly or give a full battery charge in roughly 2-4 hours. Similar to plugging in a "fast" charger to a wall socket at home.

    10. Alexander Smith on

This is an awesome idea. I'm excited to carry less random things. If nothing else, the ease of having all these tools in one container is great.
One request: Can you show more detailed videos of the turbine in the water?
I'm curious if it will get the cable wet, or how it works charging things. Also, how long would it take to fully charge the flashlight battery given a stream flowing at x-speed?

    11. Pyyros Collaborator on

@Greg-Paul Blakeman, tell ya what brother, if you get two or more, I'll personally send'em to you! Just so you know at that price it actually costs more for shipping than the Pyyros so we decided to keep them state side for guys only ordering one. I worked with a few of you U.K. guys when I was over seas. Your alright in my book. Thanks for your service!

    12. Pyyros 2-time creator on

@Greg-Paul Blakeman, Thank you for your comment. Nowhere did it mention that the perk was only for US military veterans. It says that "I am myself a US military veteran". What could have been misleading was the fact that only US shipping was available. We change that and it will not ship worlwide. Best regards.

    13. Greg-Paul Blakeman on

As a military veteran I'd like that option, shame you only care about US veterans and not other nations...(I'm from the UK)

Hi, I pledged for the early bird special. I want the wind and water turbine charger, so I just added $35 to my pledge. Is this the correct way to add the charger?

    16. Pyyros 2-time creator on

@ Clare Labowitch, First thank you for your support. Simply change your pledge to the Expedition model which contains the PBL as well. If you want to add the Turbine Charger, add the amount in your pledge directly. Cheers!

Hi wanted the flashlight etc + the pBL but it would not allow me to add the pbl on so I have now pledged for the pbl but still want the survival tool.

@Minoru TODA to launch our campaign we used a few crowdfunding marketing companies. These emails were sent on our behalf. We don't have your email.

@creator: I received unsolicitated email announcing your kickstarter project sent from info@pyyros.com (via list-manage.com). If you are a first time project creator, I do not see how you have acquired my email address.

@Minoru TODA, we are confused by your comment below. What do you mean by buying your email addresses?
PYYROS is based in Bolivar TN, myself, Adam Nichols, am the inventor of the PYYROS.

Christopher, Yes, the Iodine tablets are individually packed and stored in the module. The Crossfire gets its power from the Pyyros' 3400mAh Li-Ion battery via standard USB connector.

Two questions. Re the iodine tablets are they in their own small container or with something else in a 1" section? Re the firestarter is it an igniter that uses the battery power to start the fire?

As per the kickstarter way, I'm requesting 3 kickstarter specials with 3 turbines. Thanks.
