@Randy: Whoops, looks like our script missed a few of our backers. I'll fix the error right away.
Awesome demo, and rather interesting. Although I did notice that I wasn't in the credits 'Prophet level' or even on Historian.
@Rebecca: Thanks for letting me know, I'll fix that shortly. And glad to know you liked the demo :)
I really like the demo! The graphics and music fit together very well, like the whole world has a rhythm.
Small? Spoiler below.
I did notice one bug: I received the Naga Treatises in my inventory after talking to the Naga even though I talked to him about toy trading instead of reading material. I spoke to the Naga a second time after getting the toy camel, and when I asked, he offered the treatises which I already had.
@Zerotown: Got it, I will fix both these issues. Glad you like it :)
@Dave: Can you try installing the vcredist_x86.exe file in the game's directory? Maybe that will solve the issue.
I've had that problem as well. I resolved it by installing the 'Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x86)', by clicking on vcredist_x86.exe in the game's default directory.
Really enjoying the demo! Things I like are:
- the story and dialogue
- the smooth interface
- music and small animations
All in all, it feels very atmospheric. Well done and can't wait untill the full game releases! I did encounter a bug though: when I clicked on (something like) 'Partial mandate' in my Journal, I got the following error: (Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library: 'this application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way'.
Unfortunately I can't get get the demo to launch. I downloaded and click play and... nothing. Probably an issue with Steam rather than the demo itself.
@Zerotown: Demos don't get their own discussion threads, I think. You're welcome to discuss the demo in the main Unrest steam community:
Oi, pretty exiting stuff. Can't wait to try it when I get home! On a sidenote: is the Steam-forum functioning? I was looking for early impressions by users and found that the link re-routed me to the store-page.
@Soma: I honestly do not know. I thought I had set the release date to 26th, but somehow it got released on the 16th. It might be that I was tired and sleep deprived when I set the date, it may be bug - I legitimately do not know. No use in pointing fingers, though :)
How was the demo released early?
Oh well, hoping it all goes well!
@Andy: The functionality isn't the game, but you can message me on Kickstarter about any bugs you find! (or leave a comment here, I read those as well)
Hey guys, this is really good news! I'll check this out if I have time.
Are you going to give us the opportunity to report bugs? Maybe you add this function to your website?
