I don't mind the jokes. It shows that you guys have a sense of humor going into this game... and I'm happy about that.

Please don't make bad jokes about bail money unless it's April 1st =)

I've personally been enjoying the light-hearted humor throughout the updates, and I got a kick out of this update as well--it made me chuckle. These updates have been some of the more enjoyable updates that I've read lately, so I wouldn't want to see the tone change. Putting a note about it being a joke seems like a good idea to cover the bases.

Looking forward to seeing the full novella with the rest of the details!

I'll admit that I did do a bit of double-take there, but that's why I read the whole thing again. Not a bid deal, just a weird little joke. And I haven't been following the updates until now, so I'm not familiar with anything from previous updates.

Eh, I have a penchant for overreacting as well, so....yeah, it may just be that I need to lighten up. I just hate to see good ideas suffer. You all have done a superb job thus far; you've got my vote (obviously).

Yeah, I get where you're coming from. This is actually a part of a whole joke narrative we've done since pretty much our second update, so taken in context it is pretty harmless. That being said, some might not take it in context, so your point of view is understandable.

I realize you probably think I'm being silly, but when you are dealing with $30k, silly mistakes can have lasting repercussions. Some people just do not read everything, and one sentence can be casually observed and thoroughly misunderstood. I would advise you to not joke about what you are doing with backer money; I'm already involved in one KS that is going to end in a lawsuit. When you are asking for people to back you on faith, never give them one iota of doubt when it comes to your handling of their money. Now let's stay on track and push this thing to 40k, shall we? :)

I've added a disclaimer, just in case.

I have not read all the updates, so I have know idea what you are referring to regarding the "bad news", but I'm going to assume it is an obscenely bad joke. Bad jokes like that, misconstrued by a backer who 1) has no sense of humor or 2) actually believes you, will cost you pledges. I'm not really laughing. I get it, yeah, but not laughing.

Do you wonder how the murder went down? Why Vijay needed the spy to do it? What's the spy's deal, anyway?

For the answer to these questions, and more, check out the expanded novella launching in the $20 or more tier (this wasn't a marketing scam; I just really didn't have enough space in the regular schedule). Alternately, ask about it during the Livestreaming tomorrow.
