Money well spent, in my humble opinion. This game just gets better and better. You guys might wanna think of a really crazy high tier stretch goal, because i get the feeling you are going to double your funding in the final days.

Very nice! As S.D. said, the previous graphics were fine, but this is exactly what I was hoping to see after the improved art stretch goal. Going to be a beautiful game!
Out of curiosity, are you painting then scanning, or are these all digitally painted (I'm assuming the latter)?
Kakun - This might be an upcoming stretch goal, because animating these backdrops will pretty much double the art workload. We'll keep you posted!

Wow it looks gorgeous, I love the smoothness of the ground. Just gotta retexture those buildings and it will even better.
Absolutely beautiful. Hearkens back to the glory days of hand-painted graphics in games, something polygonal graphics just can't supersede.
