The design allows for the natural rotation of the user’s arms during the push-up, increases the range of motion, reduces the load and stress upon the wrists and forearms by providing an ergonomic grip, and provides additional versatility for your exercise routine.
The patent pending design with unique convex outer surface combined with the concave inner surface increases the complexity and difficulty of performing push-ups and other activities by requiring the body to react to eccentric forces to keep the body balanced, and focuses on strengthening the upper body, arms, back, and core to provide unparalleled strengthening results.
We want you to be able to take pushXpro everywhere, so the design is low-profile, lightweight and compact, and highly mobile - making it ideal for travel or taking along on other athletic activities, such as jogging.
It can be easily used alone or integrated into fitness classes and non-traditional Yoga classes!

Shaped By The Fitness Industry
pushXpro has been reviewed by several fitness professionals and we have brought them into several gyms for qualified feedback and expert opinion - the response has been outstanding!
- Use during stationary/isometric positions by utilizing eccentric forces caused by the curved base, e.g., during typical Yoga positions, such as the Side Plank or Vasisthasana
- Engage the triceps and core by positioning the devices behind the body
- Slide one or both devices to the sides during the exercise to engage more muscles
- Slide the devices forward during the exercise to engage the core muscles for sit-up extensions
- Use with a fitness ball or other existing fitness equipment
- Reduce difficulty by using the knees on the ground, instead of the toes!
Specifically, the pushXpro will enhance your exercise experience in the following areas:
- Engage and strengthen core body muscles that are used as the body reacts to eccentric forces to keep the body balanced in a stable or prone position throughout an exercise
- Reduce the load and stress upon the wrists and forearms by providing a handle that can be gripped easily with the hands, thus reducing stress due to the extreme angle of the hands and wrist with respect to the forearm during a conventional push-up
- Enable better engagement of the upper extremities without undue stress from hyperextension. This is achieved by allowing the wrists and other muscles of the body to react to eccentric forces to keep the body balanced in position throughout the exercise, thereby exercising and strengthening the upper extremity muscles
- Enable the rotation of the hands, wrists, and forearms, by rotation of the forearm (turning the elbow away from, and towards the body) throughout the push-up exercise. This rotation, in turn, allows for natural rotation of the hands, wrists, and forearms, and targets more muscle groups
- Increase vertical range of motion (e.g., ability to lower the body into a lower position in relation to the elevation of the hands) when performing an exercise. By increasing the vertical range of motion throughout the exercise, active muscle contraction is increased, hence enhancing the exercises, and engaging more muscle groups
- Increase lateral range of motion by moving or sliding the device when performing the push-up exercise or other exercises, such as extending the device forward to exercise the abdominals or extending the device out to the sides of the body to further exercise the chest and upper body, thereby stimulating a larger range of muscles during the exercise movements

Instead, we spent years testing and integrating the very best feedback from several high-profile gyms and personal fitness trainers from around the world, eliminating limitations, and bringing you a truly great product.

Getting It Right
Several devices end up on the shelf because designers didn’t listen to consumer feedback. So we have spent years of field trials and redesign using feedback from several fitness professionals.
We wanted to make sure that pushXpro does not end up as a cheap piece-of-junk fitness gizmo that you only use once and discard.
Each bit of feedback from industry professionals was incorporated into the revisions and refinements of pushXpro. Revisions included slight revisions to early prototypes to redefine performance and manufacturing capability.
We have gone above and beyond to bring you something that you will be excited about!
Preproduction Model PXP1 With Handle Grips
The image above is the latest prototype and will be very close to the devices that you receive! Note the added interior wall material for increased structural capacity and handle grips - the final production models will have similar features, but will have streamlined look and feel and upgraded materials!
Final Design Improvements
After further research of industry standard handgrip widths and additional field trials, the handle will be 114.4mm (4.5 in.) on the underside of the handle, 126mm (5 in.) for the topside handle dimension, and a total top of the device width (handle plus side walls) of 144mm (5.67 in.). We’ve also simplified the handle design to eliminate the need to provide a complicated cut at the ends of the grip and also provide a grip that sits flush with the top of the device, thereby eliminating the exposed edge.
These changes will allow for additional space for the hands, while still providing a low profile, durable, and efficient design!
About The Creator
pushXpro was invented by Dan Delisle, a husband, father, civil and environmental Professional Engineer, sports enthusiast, and fitness devotee.
Dan is experienced with a wide range of sports including motocross, soccer, baseball, rock climbing, and mountain biking. To pursue these sports at a high level, Dan is an avid fitness participant and attends climbing gyms often. Dan has many difficult rock climbs under his belt, including several high-profile rock climbs in Yosemite, CA. As such, Dan is always looking for ways to increase his level of fitness while keeping his workouts fun and creative - it was this drive that led him to inventing pushXpro!
Dan has several years of experience in the civil/construction industry, project management, and engineering design. He received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA. He is a registered Professional Engineer and is a registered LEED AP BD+C with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
We have several business and industry professionals serving on our Advisory Board during this challenging start-up period.
These advisors were selected based on their backgrounds, education, unique skills, and willingness to participate on a volunteer basis during this start-up phase.

President & Founder Quantum Jujitsu® Foundation and Warrior Yoga: Sensei, high-ranking black belt of jujitsu, and renowned yoga instructor with over twenty years of experience.
Owner, Mielke Product Design: Industrial and mechanical design specializing in electronic products, including: product concepts, styling, mechanical engineering, CAD modeling, and documentation.
Former Captain in the USMC and operations expert, manages and improves new products for private and military/government programs.
Program Manager for the U.S. Navy, Executive MBA with the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA. Resume includes policy work for Congress. Fitness enthusiast and healthy living promoter.
Licensed/Certified professional occupational therapist with Masters of Occupational Therapy. Several years experience for clients with physical disabilities to promote functional range of motion and movement to increase participation and independence while engaged in activities of daily living.
Estimated Timeline And Manufacturing
Challenge: Delivery goal of end of September
We've spoken with multiple manufacturers and factories on what our production runs need to look like to make this timeline happen. We have the 3D drawings, and the rapid prototypes (both 3D printing and CNC machining) of the pushXpro have been built, tested, and are successful!
All that needs to happen from here is to make the production molding tools and get the machines churning them out!
We have been referred to some great tooling and assembly manufacturers and have quotes from both overseas and in North America, and depending on the scale of this launch and existing pre-orders, we will go with whichever one fills the need best. Once the project is funded, we'll be able to scrutinize our manufacturer options, make our final selection and start tooling and production for our delivery goal.
We've been told that creating the molds and tooling will take a maximum of 50 days. If we place the order for that in late July, molds and tooling should be done by early August. From there, the production time for the run will take approximately 3-4 weeks, this brings us to late-August. We've allowed a month for final packaging, shipping, and assembly, which brings us to early September and when we ship to our customers it will be late September!
During this process, we will share photos, video, and snapshots of the journey: manufacturing, testing, decisions made for final materials selection, and more.

Risks and challenges
Every new product project has risks and challenges…
Before starting this Kickstarter campaign, the pushXpro Team spent a large amount of TIME and MONEY on prior art research, patents and intellectual property, prototypes, field testing, and start-up stage presentations and marketing to gyms and fitness professionals - all of that is the riskiest part of the project, and we felt that we needed to take that risk ourselves.
As we move towards production and manufacturing, our main challenges are quality assurance and quality control of the final design and integration, marketing, and parts deliveries.
We are confident in our design and the performance benefits that pushXpro offers. To deliver a premium product, it is sometimes necessary to spend extra time fine-tuning drawing designs, refining processes, or adjusting key strength functioning tolerances.
We are working with testing firms and manufacturers who have years of experience in their respective areas so make sure the material capability and structural integrity of the design is comprehensive.
Testing new design tweaks and materials will sometimes incur longer lead times. We have excellent relationships with these companies and are coordinating closely with them almost every day to ensure that parts arrive ON TIME and with 100% QUALITY.
