Welcome to the Pudgie Pie Revolution!
We love pudgie pies and we want you to love them too! What’s a pudgie pie? Traditionally, it’s a grilled sandwich toasted in a pie iron over a fire. You may know them as mountain pies, hobo pies, jaffles, toasties, or something entirely different! Many people enjoy making pudgie pies while camping, but they're also great for backyard fire pits, barbecue grills, and tailgating parties. There's a pudgie for every occasion!
A few years ago we wrote and published a pudgie pie cookbook called Pudgie Revolution with Kickstarter support and now we’re at it again. Actually, we’ve been at it ever since. You see, we just can’t stop coming up with new and innovative pudgie pie recipes!
About Our Recipes
Pudgie Revolution 2 is full of creative recipes that will push your pie iron's potential. There are recipes that use unconventional crusts, like our "Deep Pied Pickle" which wraps up pickles and pepper jack cheese in egg roll wrappers. We also have recipes for irons of different shapes and sizes, like our bacon/maple/donut pudgie pie that fits perfectly in a round pie iron. And we've truly pushed our pie iron's potential with recipes that use no crust at all, like our "Thanks a Latke" pudgie--a crispy and delicious potato pancake!

Risks and challenges
When we develop a pudgie pie recipe, we keep tweaking it until we deem it pudgie perfection. It's takes time and is hard work, but somebody has to do it! We currently have about 60 completed recipes and plan to develop the remaining 22 recipes by summer's end. Sticking to this timeline will give our talented graphic designer, Erik Evensen, the time he needs to make this book look even more awesome than the last!
Having been through this process once before, we feel better able to accurately estimate our timeline and get our backers their rewards on time, however there are always risks in the steps we don't directly control, like design and printing time. We will do our very best to complete our remaining recipes, photographs and content on time.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
