All swag shipped, video updates started!
We just wanted to touch base with everyone and mention that all swag items (including both international and domestic) have shipped. We're extremely sorry for the delay - we had trouble with the team dissipating during the holiday season, some problems with our shirt vendor, and more, but we realize none of those are excuses. We also realize that the mail system is imperfect, so please let us know if there's been a problem with your order.
In the meantime, we've been getting this robot-building business back in high gear after the holiday season. We've realized that we're bad at putting together blog posts, so we've switched to something we find easier and more engaging - video updates. We started two weeks ago (and just bought a dedicated camcorder once we realized our borrowed DSLR camera was terrible at taking video). If you're interested in keeping tabs on them, we encourage you to follow us on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/ProjectHexapod) or simply keep checking our website once a week (http://projecthexapod.com/blog/). Check out our two updates here:
The cliff notes version is: we have the prototype leg up and running under closed-loop control (woohoo!), we've been working steadily on the hydraulic power unit and it's getting very close to functional, and we're entering the final round of design on the legs and chassis based on the lessons we've learned from developing the prototype leg.
