I played the game for the first time on the weekend, 2 player, 1 pc, using xbox controllers.
It didn't feel anywhere near as smooth as Giana Sisters. There were sewer holes in the ground that enemies jumped up through, but we couldn't go down through because they had concrete floors? The random level design for us meant we got stuck 2 screens in against a tower we couldn't get past. It wasn't clear which roofs we could jump up through, and which we couldn't.
As player 2 I kept being respawned when my wife ran off screen or fell off a building. It'd be nice if the screen split in those situations, and rejoined when players came back together, like in the recent Lego games.
Overall it wasn't much fun and we quit after about 10 min. Hope the final version is better suited to coop.
Already with a big discount for 4,75 € while the game isn't launched in final version yet.
Very good deal for those who will get the game for this price, althought it's not particularly pleasant to see it for the original kickstarter backers (but after all, the aim of the KS project was to help the game to be made, not to get a big discount on the game, so it's ok).
And what about the potentially DRM free version?
What about the Mac version? When will it release?
Has anyone else noticed the game running slower since the Firestorm update? Or is it just me?
Hi Jedit, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org, Thanks!
Mark, this is a Windows version.
Don't worry, Mark, that's further than I've got on a Windows machine. Everything has been checked, nothing works.
Did anyone out there manage to get this working on Mac OS or GNU/Linux? Using Wineskin, the first splash screen is as far as I could get. I'm a Mac/Linux dev by trade, so naturally I have no use for a Windows machine.
Hi Alexander, please check your e-mail account or directly your messages in your Kickstarter account, the key was sent on 15th of July. Have some fun with DS!
HI, i got no key for early access on steam :( Why? I should get one.
The Early Access Keys are also for the final game, so they stay valid including all player stats
I have a question about the four keys you guys sent me. Are these keys just for the Early Access and will I get new four keys for the final game or are these four keys also for the final game?
The reason why I'm asking is, maybe on of my friends I'll gift one of the Early Access keys doesn't like the game that much and then I could send at least the final version of the game to someone who likes the game more.
The game will unlock in approximately 16 hours. Nervous? This is exciting! :-P
I hope Ravensdale is ready for us all. Watch out for Floris833 huh? haha >_<
Steam says release time: 1 p.m. PSD, that's 10 p.m. CEST. The last time I've been that nervous must have been...hmm, I think it was last Sunday ;)
cu in Ravensdale tomorrow night, watch out for Floris833!
Available: July 17th, 2014 @ Steam. When it unlocks I look forward to it. o_O
Thanks for the steam key! We will have to wait 1 day and 17 hours before DIESELSTÖRMERS is unlocked. waiting waiting waiting. Woooo! Alright!
Sorry my mistake, just read it will be avaible on the 17th. thx for the key anyhow, only backed for the final version but received a alpha key thats nice.
i have the key but steam says that the game is still locked.
We have a small delay, so keys will be sent out today!
On July 7 2014, you said in an update: This week, ETA Wednesday, we will send out your Early Access keys.
Never got mine. Have you sent them out, or not?
Just to clarify, 17th is Early Access release. This is not the finished game but an early version. Via Steam's 'Early Access' you can experience the development of the game and even involve yourself with giving feedback, expressing your ideas and wishes. The final game release is planned for Q2 2015 together with the PS4 and XboxOne version, maybe already a WiiU version too.

Not to sound like a broken record, but is there still a chance of console release? If so, approx when would that happen? After the launch on the 17th? If later, what sort of specs will my computer require to run such a cool game?
We will take care of some stuff, including Giana art books shipping, after the crazyness of the the Early Access launch.
I'm looking forward to the Early Access. :)
Little Question: What about the Giana SIsters art books? When will they be delivered?
Whoops, my payment is still not done. Should hopefully be underway now. Stupid CC. D:
You are dömn right Andrew:
It may look like I sitting here refreshing page, but I'm not! It's just a coincidence.
Aaanyway, is it seems like it's time to join Dieseltrormers Steam Community for everyone involved?
P.S. Hope you all had nice weekend and celebration :3
Hello out there! Hope you don't feel too empty after the thrill has gone. Today we will release a short update about next steps for backers and next steps for Dieselstörmers.
The Paypal solution we are discussing currently. Frankly, it is mainly a question of ressources, who in our team would be available to take care of implementing it and a small backend to manage different payments for different rewards. A second option would be just starting a indiegogo-campaign for this. We are just wondering, how people would feel about that.
One thing is sure, we will keep you updated about everything that is going ön!
Congratulations for the 50K, BFG! I'm so looking forward to playing this game on steam :)
Funded! This project was successfully funded 1 day ago.
Make DIESELSTÖRMERS GREAT! Keep us and Andrew updated! :-)
You can't edit the pledge now it has ended, can you? I'd like to have PS4 and Wii U too.
@Fred Schuit: for pledging for PS4 or WiiU you should edit your pledge and add 7 USD as I did. My level is 25 USD, I added to 32
Ah, what a nice morning to see s... Oh, no updates, ok.
I'm really glad this got funded!
Congratz on being funded! One question: I missed the opportunity to pledge extra for the PS4 and WII U version. Do you have PayPal? How to add extra to still get this game on the consoles?
Fingers crossed they decide to let us upgrade our pledges and allow new pledges. More money for BFG the better.
Congrats on being funded!.. damn i missed the löve train!
Awwwwwwwwww yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Congrats guys. Really pulled it off in the last few hours. Looking forward to the upcoming fun times ahead. =3
Congrats on the funding status folks! Ze germans are coming once again!
Here's a potentially silly question for BFG. Can / will you open up Paypal to potentially reach some stretch goals? Other projects I have backed did that, and it worked out pretty well in some cases. Either way I'm happy this got funded :D
LÖL Daniel. You are the truelly awesome backer here. Some of us do care :-D
I look forward to the Early Access release live show party! Keep us all posted
and updated about progress for DIESELSTÖRMERS! Glad to back this! :) :) :)
WTG Backers, Adrian + BFG! $_$ Awesomesauce indeed! Woot! Badabooom!
Probably no one cares, but I'm gonna finish it anyway. My final graph of the Kickstarter over it's last 22 hours~ish. https://twitter.com/SoDaRa9/status/469981006012121088 Times are in EDT. So much data I had to split into 3 pics. xD Bit of a mess but it'll have to do. Can't wait to see what comes next. :)
Just do not forget to inform us about literally EVERYTHING that happens with development process.
Awesomesouce!!! CONGRATULATIONS BFG!!! Can't wait to see y'all on Steam! ;))
I hope to see you all on our Early Access release live show party, inluding the first online games with Dieselstörmers! We will storm the city together :)
Really, it felt good with you
Elvis has löft the building
Nice! Time to party!
Are you raising your dongers now? British scientists recommend to raise your dongers at least three times a day. Especially when something nice happens. Like you met an old friend or awesome project was funded.
lol, i never watch tv, spending too much time playing video games :)
@Wei-ju-Wu i'm glad he is off television.
@Peter: That's what I still remember from german (ok, dutch) TV back in the day ;)
