About this project
Colours and Shapes is a cardgame that I made with my best friend, it was inspired from fond memories of my youth and I wanted to capture them in a way that would allow others to garner a similar experience. The game has gone through a lot since its conception. It was a different brand during its original beta testing and from the feedback we received it helped us move in the right direction for the product. And ta-da you have the brand you see before you!
In Colours and Shapes you take on the role of one of the eight colours and shapes;
- Red Triangle
- Orange Oval
- Yellow Line
- Green Square
- Blue Circle
- Indigo Diamond
- Violet Rectangle
- Exclusive Bonus Character Kickstarter K
Each has their own special power creating a unique gameplay experience. Battle your friends in this match making card game and learn your colours and shapes!
The base game of Colours and Shapes is an exciting 2-4 player game that can either be played in minutes, or for hours, requiring you to combine thoughtful strategy, luck, and in-your-face gameplay to create a fun, fast, and casual game that can be played anywhere, anytime. The game mechanics are simple yet elegant leaving a lot of room for playstyle growth to ensure replay value for a long time to come. Colours and Shapes makes a great game to play on family game nights, holidays, or even on "poker night".
As an exclusive bonus to this kickstarter all backers will receive an additional 1 player game mode called Puzzle Mode where you attempt to clear the deck and the game board creating matching in a tile laying style game. Utilizing your characters power to your advantage. (After the Kickstarter the additional game mode is purchasable)
And we have made Kickstarter into an exclusive bonus character addon! This will be added to every backers pledge reward. Their will only be enough printed for each backer and will never ever-ever be produced again. Kickstarting is a beautiful one time process and we want our backers to have their own awesome memento.
The really cool part of Colours and Shapes is it comes in two different versions; Spectrum A and Spectrum B. Spectrum A coming with Red, Green, Blue and Violet while Spectrum B having Orange, Yellow, Indigo and Grey. Chose your favorite spectrum or go for both!
And if you chose to go with both! You should grab the Full Spectrum Edition letting you expand your experience with a slew of additional game modes, bonus characters and game cards showing this games flexibility.

Father Geek Preview
Father Geek did an excellent preview on Colours and Shapes as well.
- Child Geek "The only thing I don’t like about the game is losing."
- Parent Geek "I think it’s a marvelous game. Easy to learn, easy to play, but it still requires you to think about how you are playing."
- Father Geek "I rather like how light the game is. It’s casual game play is coated with a very thin, but potent layer of logical thinking."

Epic Slant Review
If you dig what we are doing and do them social media things give us a share on your twitter or facebook using those little buttons under the video there is a lot of noise out there. If enough people spread the word we might do something to celebrate...
Game Design and Development:
Colours and Shapes is designed to be played by your youngest and oldest relatives at the same time. We've incorporated qualities that every age group can enjoy: Quick games, and fast gameplay, mixed with exciting endings, strategy elements, complex team play, score management, and fully developed characters with powerful abilities, provide something for all generations. All this combines to create a game that is incredibly easy to learn but fun for even the experienced gamer.
When we completed the game design, it went through extensive play-testing and prototyping to ensure it is of the highest quality and professionally presented.
We have high standards. To make sure we create a game that represents those standards, all manufacturing will be done by Quality Playing Cards, Inc. using their safety certified, 100% clean & green printing facilities. They are very responsive and helpful, and we're very confident we made the right choice in our production team!
In addition to being earth-friendly and safe, producing with Quality Playing Cards gives us the ability to print the game on a very high quality card stock, the same stock you'd find on your best set of poker cards (300gsm black core). We want to ensure your game will be worth your investment and be enjoyable for years to come.
All beta versions are produced through the Game Crafter. If you are an indie developer I strongly suggest using these guys for rapid-prototyping and proofing of your game.

Risks and challenges
Game is 100% complete. Once kickstarter is funded the money transfers hands then we use it in the production cost of the first edition bulk printing of Colours and Shapes and the rest is used in the shipping of said game from production facility to Athens, GA then we take said game and put it into generic postal envelopes, slapped with shipping labels made for every order using the rest of the fund then sending them out to you lovely individuals that want to give this game a shot.
The T-shirts will be paid for out of my pocket as well as the bonus Kickstarter Character.
I believe that focusing too much on the risks can bog you down with what-ifs and could-of-beens. Just know that we will do everything on our end to get you the premium quality game that you ordered to your door. The only thing we can't control is that of the USPS but hey who can.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
