Bonjour,
Un petit retour sur la nouvelle "version" de prizm pour faire suite au changement de catalogue.
Le fait de ne plus pouvoir choisir la musique directement est beaucoup plus embêtant que ce que j'avais initialement anticipé. Nous sommes dépendant de l'algorithme de recommandation de Prizm. Admettons que cela pourrait être une bonne chose.
Néanmoins, l'algorithme de Prizm me semble avoir évolué dans le mauvais sens. J'ai rentré trois artistes de genre un peu "métal" dans les "musiques likées" de l'initialisation du nouveau catalogue. En cherchant David Guetta avec l'outil d'orientation, je me retrouve à devoir écouter les Deftones. Pas que je n'aime pas cela, mais ce n'était PAS ce que je souhaitais écouter à ce moment et à cette heure de la journée. Et avant d'obtenir une musique au style adapté, je m'y suis repris à quatre ou cinq fois...
Comme "willthewill", je vous laisse le bénéfice du doute, mais j'admets être un peu déçu par ce changement pour le moment.
PS : Avez vous aussi retiré la possibilité de faire une "avance rapide" dans la chanson ? Impossible d'aller au milieu d'une musique actuellement. Je ne me rappelle plus si c'était déjà le cas dans la version qui était liée à Spotify; il me semble que oui, mais je pourrais me tromper. Dans tout les il serait vraiment appréciable de pouvoir avancer dans la chanson pour voir si on souhaite la garder ou non.

Je viens de recevoir la tristesse nouvelle par mail, tout mes likes et préférence depuis mon acquisitions de prizm sont remis à zéro, et toute connectivé et brouillé au profit de votre nouvelle plateforme pour laquelle on devra bientôt payer. Aussi dérisoire soit cet abonnement, quel avantage un utilisateur Soundcloud ayant une enceinte bluetooth comme moi aurait eu à investir 130 EUROS combiné à un abonnement alors que la plateforme fournis déjà des propositions gratuitement ?
Ça m'attriste de poster cette critique pour un projet que j'avais autant défendu auprès de mes proches et ce malgré le long retard. Je sais que vous saurez prendre ces remarques pour ce qu'elles sont, une remise en question du rapport prix fonctionnalités, je sais qu'il n'y aura pas de retour en arrière, mais tant pis, mon prizm ira bientôt retrouver sa place dans sa boîte :(.

@Arunas : Today, the context is defined by time, day and people you’re with. We have not displayed it in the app yet, but this is something we will be working on soon.
@Christophe : That would be super nice for sure! The team is currently focused on improving the core features of Prizm’s experience but there are a lot of great improvements we intend to integrate in the future, and smartwatch apps will certainly be one of them.
@Selmar : For our support team to investigate on your issue, please report the problem using the in-app messaging service, next time it happens. We can also encourage you to Dislike (long press on the next button) the songs you don’t like, to use the Search menu to play songs you would like to hear and add songs to your Likes. It will help Prizm understand your tastes better.
@Giddeon : We’re sorry to hear that. We’d like to learn more about your audio setup, why Prizm doesn’t fit into it anymore and which device finally met your needs.

I've finally taken receipt of my Prizm but unfortunately it does not suit my needs - my amp is no where near where it would be convenient to place the device. And, since ordering this I have managed to put together a great alternate for music in my home. So I have a unit up for grabs if someone want to make me an offer

I know that it might be a lot of work but a companion app for the Apple Watch would be just awesome. A unique screen displaying one heart and one cross to control Prizm should be perfect.

@Colin : Ability to remove Liked songs is a good idea, in fact we are already thinking about it, and we will probably work on it in a near future.
@Edward : Prizm actually refreshes the next song after every one of your interactions. We are making every efforts to reduce this processing time, while keeping the level of intelligence at its best. Now, if it takes 3 to 5 seconds to skip from one track to another without any interaction, this is a problem and it would be helpful for the team (and other users) if you could report it, next time it occurs. Please use the in-app messaging service (shake your smartphone on the Prizm app to open a comment window) as it will send along useful data for us to understand what happens. Thank you very much, and sorry for the inconvenience.
@Arunas : Prizm only displays users that have the Prizm app installed on their phones (because people must create a “profile” so Prizm can know their music tastes). Other people will help to understand the context you’re in (i.e. party) but, as they remain unknown, Prizm won’t be able to know their tastes and they won’t participate to the selection. That is the reason why we’ve decided not to display them on the app for now. If you want to invite friends to the app, please write to app@meetprizm.com specifying their first name, email, and smartphone’s OS. Please also check our answer to Edward about the delay between songs.

My Prizm arrived yesterday and (after a couple of hiccups - my fault!) is set up and working well so far. Whilst the gap between tracks would be better if shorter, it's really not a problem for me. As for the phone's volume buttons not operating the Prizm's volume, there's a volume control on the app and on the Prizm - surely that's enough. Great little invention, guys - thank you and I'm sure it'll get even better as time passes and improvements arrive.

I too have 3-4 seconds delay between songs. It really irritates. Also can i check how many people Prizm identifies in the room? So far it shows only myself, no any other smartphone.

Second thing, the volume control in the app is not linked to my physical buttons on the phone like with Spotify and other music playing app... I must say this launch seems still to be too early although we have been waiting for a really long time...

I am pleased with how the prizm looks but it lacks a lot when it comes to the software and to deliver the music in particular the 3-5 second delay between each song.... This is not acceptable. I want a seamless transition like you have in every other music service out there. Anymore that are having this problem? My internet is 100mbit sothat is not the problem for sure....

Is there a way that you could make it possible to removed liked tracks from the list of my like?
Say you accidentally liked a song, there is no way to remove it.
That I could find easily anyways.
And maybe a easy profile switcher option for moving from spotify to deezer to soundcloud?
I'm not running spotify premium at the moment. So maybe I'm not seeing it.

@Jeremy : Upnp features have not been discontinued but the team is currently focused on improving the core functionalities of Prizm’s experience and, unfortunately, some delay can be expected. When are the features described above coming to Prizm? I do not want to sign up for more streaming services so it's not much use currently as I can't do anything with the device as it forces me to register or log in with services I don't use.

Upon receiving the device, I had to install two updates. At some point, the installation must have crashed. Now I cannot find the Prizm device using the app and the light is white and blinking constantly. How can I fix this?

@Jesus It can take some time but the more you interact with Prizm, by touching “heart” and “cross” button, the more it "learns" from your musical tastes.
If you want to listen to listen to a specific song, you can also use the search bar (in the upper right corner of the screen). This is a good way to teach Prizm what you want, when you want it so it can better understand your musical needs and adjust its recommendations. Any way to get more control of what Prizm is playing...? I got loads of French rap and classic music.. But that's not really what I prefer.
I'm getting RSI of pressing the X on the Prizm ;).

Hi,
I just received my Prizm today and so far I'm super happy with packaging, attention to detail, presentation and packaging materials. To me if I am not satisfied with the way a product is packed/ boxed chances are i will not be satisfied with the product. Even though this is not always the case first impression of a product is still VERY important and i would just like to say that you guys have aced it for me!
Though I have the same issue as KGB Films and I cant seem to find the app on the Google Play Store.

@Al-th but in order to give further details to Spotify users (very helpful insight - thank you again) :
The “Prizm” playlist is created to gather all the songs you have Liked with Prizm (when you touch the heart button, in your app or on the device).
The “Prizm Dynamic Playlist” is simply used to communicate with the platform and you shouldn’t care about it.
In any case, if you click on "Go to Playlist radio” on Spotify, the recommendation will come from Spotify, like for any other playlist.
Since a part of the Prizm recommendation algorithm lies into the device, you can only enjoy Prizm selection when you’re using it.

Here is a question that I don't ask by email because I guess it can be of common interest.
My prizm is linked to my spotify account and therefore it created a playlist in my account called Prizm that my prizm connects to to broadcast music at home.
I sometime listen to spotify, from work, using the web version. My question is the following : If I don't launch the prizm app or the prizm device, but rather start the Prizm radio on my Spotify web, do I get the same Prizm recommendations ?

Guys, this thing doesn't work. I've been trying it for over a week, yet it continues to play death metal and other unpleasant (to my ears) music despite what must be close to 100 'banned' songs. The app crashes frequently, and I have yet to find more than two or three songs I actually enjoy through hours or listening. My experience with Prizm so far has been sitting and holding the ban button... I don't think the people receiving their shipments will be too pleased with the current status of the project.

Maybe you have the same problem I have had.
When you play music from Spotify app (mobile or desktop), can you see the Prizm in the available devices ( https://support.spotify.com/us/using_spotify/play_on_stereo_tv_car/spotify-connect/ ) ?
If it's the case, try to reinstall the Prizm App.
In my case this solved the problem... well, I'm not sure, but it's after having reinstalled the app that I have been able to use the Prizm
