First of all, we’re so incredibly grateful for all you early backers! You all know Hex Heroes is a must have on Wii U and because of you, we’re closer to making the game a reality. The last 24 hours have been quite a whirlwind as we prepare some awesome updates!
We are proud to support our fellow indie developers who also believe in Nintendo and their fans. Many games in the indie realm are inspired by the Nintendo games we played growing up. We at Prismatic want to thank these developers not just for their cameo blessings, but also for continuing to grow our Wii U and 3DS libraries.
Renegade Kid, located in Austin, Texas, has released a number of games for the DS and 3DS. Their hit 3DS platformer Mutant Mudds
was also released on Wii U and Steam in 2013. Get your old school platformer on! And in case you haven’t heard, Renegade Kid is launching a new Kickstarter on April 2nd
. We can’t wait to throw in our support for their newest game!
Toronto based Drinkbox Studios, famous for Guacamelee, recently announced that their Day of the Dead-inspired Metroidvania game will be coming to Wii U! We love the game, and we’re excited to play the new souped-up version on our favorite console (we saw it at GDC, and it looks awesome)!
Last but not least, Image & Form from Sweden has most notably released SteamWorld Dig on 3DS and Steam in addition to other games for the DS, iOS, and Android. If you haven’t gotten your hands dirty digging for treasure in SteamWorld Dig yet, what are you waiting for? Hop to it!
So without further ado, please welcome Max from Mutant Mudds, Juan Aguacate from Guacamelee, and Rusty from SteamWorld Dig. We hope this is the start of a beautiful friendship.
There are more surprises to come, so spread the word!
