Primus 7 is an introduction into the mind of the Noir Caesar creative team. This animated series is the beginning of a new subgenre within anime. Primus 7 gives a nod to the classic Japanese style popularized by Osamu Tezuka in the 1960s, while introducing contemporary American culture.
The series highlights hip-hop and streetwear. It extends an olive branch to people of color who rarely see someone who looks like them depicted in cartoons. It builds off of the Aaron McGruders (The Boondocks) and Takashi Okazakis (Afro Samurai). It takes the very rudimentary representations of Blacks in anime and expands upon them. Our series gives them depth and truth. Primus 7 is built upon a story of family, honor, and loyalty; pillars of traditional anime storylines.
Eight months after the death of Primus Resistance leader Sevar Ajamu, his children, Silva and Seven feel destitute and alone. Their purpose was extinguished when Arthur Grove took power of the World Corps, killing the only man that could bring the world of Primoridia back from the brink. Now, on the run with a group of survivors, hiding in sewers, feeding off scraps, the boys wonder would they be better off on their own. Meanwhile, the false hero, Arthur Grove seeks to finish what he started by ridding the world of those that would oppose him. This is what happens when pain manifests into tyranny. The boys will have to make the decision to stand for the people and fight for liberation, or let the Ajamu name fade into memory.
Trying to live up to his father’s principle, Silva looks after his younger brother, Seven. There is a rage buried deep inside that’s feeding on Silva’s ability to fully use his orii. Part of the young teen wants to leave and make a life with just his brother and not worry about what may come. However, he knows he must stay and fight for his people's liberation just as his father did.
Full of anger and rage, Seven only wants to do what he feels he should be doing. He says what he wants, when he wants, and believes that no one should question what he does. The only one to witness his father’s death he hates sleep because of the reoccurring nightmares. His older brother, Silva, is the only voice that can reach him when the darkness closes in. Seven must make the decision to stand with his people or watch them die by the hands of World Corps.
Forcibly over-throwing the former generals of the World Corps Regime, his immediate goal is simple: to not create the chaos that forged his ambitions. Half of the world view his tactics as a harsh dictatorship while others see it as way to escape the worry of life. Grove has his sights on world domination, but wishes to shine the brightest light in the darkest of corners to reveal the inner workings of the resistance group, PRIMUS. For him to achieve his goal, he must finish what he started with the death of their leader, Sevar Ajamu, by bringing his children, Silva and Seven, to his side.

Johnny O'Bryant (Creator)
Johnny is a current Professional Athlete in the National Basketball League (NBA). Growing up a fan of everything anime and manga, he was inspired to create his own work titled "Primus 7." Primus 7 has been a brainchild of his for over 2 years and he wants nothing more than to see it come to life. Corey Mikell (Writer)
Corey Mikell was born in Columbia, South Carolina, which unfortunately, has little to no outlets for creativity to blossom. Growing up and appreciating different cultures and values, there was no way to connect with like-minded people. Entering various writing competitions at a very young age and winning, he started to see a purpose. He continued writing until he was noticed by the publisher, Churn, and was picked up for his short story series, “DEAD MAN’S GOD”. It was around this time he started to create his lead project, SPACE POP. Corey was eventually noticed by various indie companies that wanted to change his story, so keeping to his vision, it would be years later until the opportunity at Noir Caesar arose. Noticing his determination and talent, he was chosen to write four series, and was advanced the position of Production Manager.

Noir Caesar's creative director Vaughn Alexander lended us his designs skills for these Primus 7 streetwear pieces. Vaughn wanted to find a way to combine cosplay with everyday streetwear fashion. Be the first to own these pieces by pledging at the respective tiers.
As creators we believe it is more than necessary for our vision to be created and told exactly as we see it in our heads. Often times creators sell their ideas to networks and companies in return are left with no ownership and very little creative control. We believe crowd-funding allows us to be as hands on as possible with our vision. Everything presented to you so far has been done by a very small team and for Primus 7 to reach its full potential we know extra hands are necessary. Kickstarter will allow us to bring together a diverse and experienced team to help Primus 7 truly become what we envision it to be. Every dollar raised here at Kickstarter will go toward the production of Primus 7. See graph below.
