Silver reflective URBN CITY poster (Canceled)
50 CITY POSTERS AS NEVER SEEN BEFORE. Minimalistic, unique and suitable for every interior to add the magic of reflection.
Hi, I am Christoph and I enjoy exploring and traveling to the world's major cities. When I am back at home sitting at my kitchen table, my mind keeps wandering back to all the exciting places I have been to. But some day I thought to myself, wouldn't it be great to have a visual memento of my travels. And that's how I came up with URBN reflections.
A cool and elegant mix of the urban structures of major cities across the globe, designed to be a shimmering work of art, creating various visual effects on its glossy silvery surface depending on your position when facing it.
That proved to be a very tangible way of recalling my past travels which I would like to share with you.
Congratulations, super nice project! Very intriguing to imagine how you have been able to project the identity of each city….an ideal world tour! Mapping is very in indeed and I honk you guys have found an unexpected language to picture it. Bravo!

My friends who come to see me at my place never fail to remark on the ingenuity of the design of URBN reflections, constantly changing their positions to achieve new visual effects when looking at my little works of art. Or trying to feel the three-dimensional appearance of the surface by touching it. Whenever someone asks me where I got it from, I have to point out to them that they are looking at the result of a trial run. Hence my idea to turn URBN reflections into a kickstarter project to give a large group of people the chance to enjoy a global city feel turned into art. It will be available in poster size and there are 50 city layouts to choose from.
Each city scape will be printed in a matt varnish and a shade of white on special cardboard (329 gsm) mounted on a silver aluminium foil with the aid of a digital screen printing UV machine. The thickness of the color of the printing ink becomes tangible to the touch by standing in relief on the cardboard. With the light being refracted off the matt varnish, a thousand dazzling effects soon have the person looking at it mesmerized.

Coming up with a selection of 50 cities for URBN reflections was one of the most difficult choices I had to make. In order to get it right, I talked to friends, consulted marketing experts and discussed it with travel enthusiasts. But in the end I had to decide which cities would be included in the project. Not an easy choice, I can tell you !
Restricting myself to picking 50 cities resulted in dropping some important places from my list. Depending on the success of this project, I am always willing to take up your suggestions and include some other great cities currently not on the list. Please feel free to drop me a line with your proposals. I do hope you will like URBN reflections as much as I do. Always know, your support is much appreciated !
Each poster will be shipped in a cardboard tube which will sit inside a second outer cardboard box to provide extra protection. Furthermore each poster will be especially protected by placing a glassine sheet on its printed side before rolling it up.
All shipments will receive individual tracking numbers to give you the chance to locate their exact whereabouts.
Come and share this quite inexpensive way of owning a small part of your favorite city !
I would like to extend my very special thanks to those people who gave their time and thought to help me lift this project off the ground. They include:

Risks and challenges
The printing process has been checked thoroughly and merely the artwork needs to be completed.
The aim of my project is to fund a sufficient print run of URBN reflections posters. Prices have been set with this in mind. However, delays may occur in the worldwide shipping of the posters, as the size of the printing orders might vary depending on the final degree of acceptance.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
