Please help Pow Pow Press bring Phil back from the dead!
Earthbound is Blonk's first graphic novel. It won the Réal-Fillion award at the Festival de la Bande Dessinée Francophone de Québec earlier in 2015. Blonk has also been nominated for "Best Cartoonist" at the Joe Shuster Awards. Having published it in French in October 2014, Pow Pow now hopes to release Earthbound in English.
Phil is just an ordinary guy, except for one thing : he's been dead for a few months. And now that he's back among the living, everyone seems to have gotten on with their own lives – including his ex-girlfriend Kate who is now dating that annoying guy from work, Jeff Cooper. It's not easy being a zombie, even if you just want to live a normal life after death.

About Pow Pow Press
Pow Pow Press is a Montreal-based publishing house that specializes in comics. Last year, after a successful Kickstarter campaign, we were able to translate and release four graphic novels in English : For As Long As It Rains by Zviane, Mile End by Michel Hellman, Vampire Cousins by Cathon and Alexandre Fontaine Rousseau as well as Vile and Miserable by Samuel Cantin. With your help, we now hope to translate more books from our French catalogue, starting with Blonk's Earthbound.
Pow Pow Press is represented in Canada by the Canadian Manda Group and in the US by the Literary Press Group, with distribution in both Canada and the US by LitDistCo.
Risks and challenges
Having already lead a successful Kickstarter campaign, and with five years of experience as a publisher, we are confident we can release this book in time. The reason we ask for $9,500 is that printing a full-color 112 pages book is much more expensive than printing in black-and-white. We print our books in Canada, on Enviro Print 80 lbs, 100% post-consumer recycled white paper. We have very high quality standards, as well as ethical and environmental standards.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
