Inspiration Behind PowerShade
I love going to the beach. It is a place to relax and just have a good time with friends and family. However, I don’t like to be "unplugged". I love reading a book, listening to music or surfing the web while I am at the beach. Up until now I would be lucky to get a couple of hours of enjoyment before the "low battery" message starts creeping up.
With PowerShade I can enjoy a full day at the beach doing what I want, using the tech toys that relax me. It uses a simple, intuitive design to modernize the beach umbrella.

Risks and challenges
We have spent over 3 years developing this product are fully aware of the challenges and have ironed out all of the risks. The PowerShade team has extensive knowledge in supply chain management and manufacturing. All we need is our first order!
The funding goal was carefully calculated to make sure we have the following locked down:
Full Scale Manufacturing: The first run one is always the most difficult as there are quite a few initial costs to get manufacturing up and running. Tooling costs have already been worked out and designed. We will have the PowerShade in production within a matter of weeks after the campaign is finished.
Manufacturing: Our manufacturing partners produce only the highest quality components. We have additionally lined up secondary and tertiary partners should they not deliver everything that meets our strict quality standards.
Shipping: Shipping umbrellas can be quite expensive, however due to our Kickstarter sales volume will allow us to pass on saving to our customers.
Because we have everything so meticulously planned, PowerShade's production will not be an issue!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
