GALAXY GIRL VERSUS THE UNIVERSE!
Galaxy Girl is an episodic Sci-fi comedy series featuring the work of various artists from all over the world. Inspired by Rick and Morty, FLCL, and Pulp Sci-Fi magazines, Galaxy Girl is about an unpredictable alien girl who abducts a teenage human boy for space-faring shenanigans and, ultimately, dissection. Each issue contains multiple "one-and-done" style short stories each drawn by a different artist and able to stand alone as a short story. This format makes Galaxy Girl very accessible to all audiences. Have a friend who likes the same cartoons and movies as you but has never read a comic? Tell them about Galaxy Girl! Missed Issue one? No problem! You can add it on to your pledge or just skip it altogether, the narrative will not be disrupted either way.
Galaxy Girl Versus the Universe is Issues 2 and 3 of The Adventures of Galaxy Girl in Outer Space series. Each Issue contains three short stories about Galaxy Girl, Norman, and Steve the Robot as they traverse the universe in Galaxy Girl's Class 5 Worm-hole cruiser space ship (with custom logo). The stories contained are as follows...

I've brought Galaxy Girl back to Kickstarter once more to raise money for a 1,000 issue print run of both Issues 2 and 3. I've set my goal at $2,000, which you may realize is the same goal that I set for a single issue last time around. Last time I just barely made my goal, so I didn't want to set it too high this time around for the double issue run. $2,000 will be juuust enough that I can pay for the rest of printing out of pocket. But I need YOU to help me get there! Please help me make my art and know that I appreciate every dollar and every share on social media. I can't do it without you! Thank you for reading and thank you for your pledge!
Feel like you need to catch up before jumping in to Issue 2? No problem! Here are the first 8 pages of Issue one, "The Pilot" with art by Catia Fantini.
And here is a 5 page preview of Issue 2. This is "Fossil Fuels of the Dino-Men" and 8 page story with art by Rachel Distler and lettering by Jamie Me.
Risks and challenges
I've now completed two successful Kickstarter projects, and Galaxy Girl Versus the Universe will be my third. I have encountered a few snags in the road on my previous two, and I'm sure there will be some new and unexpected challenges this time around as well. Most of the work for these two issues has already been completed, so I have done my work in trying to get on top of any possible challenges before they arise.
My first project, Potential, completed the work that we set out to raise money for on Kickstarter (Issue 1 of 10). We still have four Issues in the series to complete, and the scripts are in the editing and revising stages now. I didn't know just how much work went into comics when I made a subscription to all 10 issues one of my reward levels. I won't make that mistake again. My last Kickstarter, Galaxy Girl, was for only one issue, and I completed that on schedule. And so, with that success I have set the bar one issue higher this time around. I have no doubt that the work will be completed on time once again.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
