First & foremost, I would like to say "thank you" to all of the people that have helped me with the building up of momentum of the "Positive Tos 'Thinking Cap'" movement, those that have supported & encouraged me in various ways, & to those that helped by contributing in any way to bringing the "Thinking Cap" to fruition while it was still yet just an idea. ( Because it started as an idea - as all things do - is more motivation & support for the reason behind the hat & the statement it makes.) I, also, would like to extend a HUGE thank you in advance to those that will make a donation, or place a preorder! And lastly, THANK YOU for reading this. After you've done so, I know you will feel compelled to become a part of the movement that inspires independent thinking, bringing out your creative genius, maintaining a positive attitude & letting your light SHINE !
So, how did you come up with the idea?
Great question! You must have your thinking cap on!
I came up with the idea while I'd been revamping each of my social media platforms in order to fully capitalize on the free, Herculean industry that has propelled hundreds of thousands before me into success - social networks. I'd been receiving opportunities left & right & felt that it was time for me to step into bigger shoes & begin to promote myself as a professional speaker & entrepreneur, posting mainly content that expressed those qualities within me, as well as exposed myself at events & engagements I'd been invited to or was fortunate enough to come across. (I am, also, a fitness enthusiast, so I do post a lot of pics in the gym, too.)
Then, one day I was considering posting one of my personal quotes edited onto one of my professional images, when I came across one of my favorite personal quotes: "what are two things you can always wear that will never go out of style? A smile & a thinking cap." ..."But how can I show someone thinking? I wish I could show someone actually wearing their thinking cap." .....
Then, it hit me! ...
I CAN show someone wearing their "Thinking Cap"❗ How about a baseball "cap" called "The Thinking Cap?" Then, a roadblock stopped me in my tracks! .."What should I put on the hat to show someone deep in thought, or as though they just had an awesome idea?" I thought for several minutes.
Finally, as silly as it may sound, a simple cartoon came to mind, as though God himself placed the thought in my head. Tom & Jerry. I can remember that being one of my favorite shows as a kid, as far back as I can remember. In fact, at 3-years old I remember distinctly sitting in my babysitters living room in Atleboro, MA. watching the big, blueish-grey cat chase the little brown mouse all throughout the house, only to his dismay to be duped at every, seemingly sure success. (My, how little do we know as kids that shows like that & Dr. Suess & Looney Tunes have so much meaning!) Nevertheless, regardless of whether successful or a complete failure, whenever either of the rivals had a spontanteous thought, or good idea... A lightbulb popped up above their heads. (And the best part, that I believe we could all learn from, is that they acted on it!)
BRILLIANT ! "I will put a single lightbulb on the hat! That will represent positive thinking, independence, being solution-minded & professing your creative genius within. Surely it will resonate with entrepreneurs, innovators & leaders!"
But then, something whispered in my ear, "what about those that aren't entrepreneurs, innovators or leaders?" ...Back to the drawing board, as they say.
After days of excitement mixed with frustration of how I could make this cap more universal, another incredible thought occurred & I faintly recalled a verse in the Bible. I googled that which I could recall: be a light unto others. ...There it was. I found it! Matthew 5:16 states: "Shine your light before men, so that others may see your good works & glorify your Father which is in Heaven." Perfect! Now it has another meaning, more universal than before - it represents uniqueness & you SHINING YOUR LIGHT!
(Now before I go on, I must say, of course, yes, I am a Christian; no, this cap is not for Christians only. I have Muslim friends, athiest friends, Jewish friends & friends of all faiths & beliefs. The Bible is what inspired me to give it a more universal meaning - letting your light shine for the world - but it IS NOT a religious hat.)
I bounced the idea off of several friends & family who all confirmed that I was on to something great. However, my biggest belief in the "Thinking Cap" has come after complete strangers have complimented it & encouraged me to keep pushing forward with the movement! (After all, friends and family are usually biased in their opinions.) Less than 2 months after I came up with the idea, the very first "Thinking Cap" was born! (I soon found out that there were other trademarks on "Thinking Caps," therefore I added my professional speaking name to it to make it officially the "Positive Tos 'Thinking Cap!'" I am currently going through the process of having it trademarked.)
Being an enthusiast for fitness & getting into the best shape of your life, I know full & well that the body & mind are interconnected on a much higher level than just literally & physically. There is something about your thinking that has great affect on your body & the way you act, & vice-versa. It is proven! When you read more, think positive thoughts more often & smile more throughout the day, you tend to be more conscious of your actions, eat better & exercise more. In fact, I am proof of my own claims. After, & only after, I started reading & thinking only pleasant thoughts, then it was that I started to care about what I put into my body (physically & mentally) & how I maintained it physically. I can, with certainty, tell you this: a healthy body & a healthy mind go hand-in-hand.
Since my mind-shifted & I began my fitness journey, & have also begun my life as a motivational speaker & positive icon, I have begun to receive opportunities - some in the form of engagements, some in the form of small monetary gains, & others in the form of simple friendships! I am thankful for all of the support, encouragement & recognition I've received, even more-so since I've begun creating awareness about the "Thinking Caps" & all that it represents! So many people have messaged me, shared my posts & even begun already committing to helping however they can. There are so many people I know that embody what the "Thinking Cap" stands for & I wish I could give them all a cap & make them ambassadors. We need more positive influences & people fighting to keep their independence!
Check out some of these AMAZING supporters❗ These are just a few!!! (Did I mention, this is just from Instagram, & does not include, other social media support.)
The "Thinking Cap" also has gotten support from local establishments, such as Amazon Forest Café, & Gold's Gym, Orlando! The "Thinking Cap" has only been around for about a month! With that said, there is still so much more in store for this positive movement!
Our goal (myself & all of the "Thinking Cap" supporters) is to incite positive change & leave a lasting impact on society! We want to encourage constructive thinking & creativity! That is the spice of humanity! Furthermore, when you accept advice, don't accept it without putting some thought forth into what it is that you are agreeing to. Challenge it, research it, THINK about it!
In all that you do, bravely & confidently express yourself. Make a statement. Let the world know that you exist! Don't hold back or be afraid of who you are & what you have to offer! You are UNIQUE! You are IMPORTANT! Let your light SHINE! & THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX!
...Just remember to do so with your "Thinking Cap" on! ; )
As for the campaign, we simply need your help to meet a high demand, officially launch the "Thinking Cap" line & create more awareness so we can impact the world!

Risks and challenges
I don't feel as though there are any risks for the backers because I am setting a goal that will afford me the funds necessary to place a bulk order for any amount of hats with an embroider who I've partnered up with that has partnership with a manufacturer. However, if the goal is not met, pledges will not be fulfilled & backers will not be charged. The only challenge will come if & when the project vastly exceeds it's goal in pledges. Then, backers will DEFINITELY receive their gifts, however, they may experience a slightly longer wait time.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
