Dungeons & Dragons has been explosive recently, which is an amazing thing! D&D gives an opportunity to explore your imagination, while giving players the opportunity to problem solve, practice team building, and conflict resolution all in one, fun RPG with magic and dragons and elves.
Tension is rising in the Abyss and across the Nine Hells. For thousands years, the power hungry Lords of Hell and the chaotic leadership of the Demon Lords of the Abyss have conflicted with each other. Asmodeus, the undisputed master of the Nine Hells, commands fear and respect from all of those in his domain, keeping an unorganized balance. And although you find yourself far from where he resides, the name "Asmodeus" alone carries a heavy aura of fear.
You are fortunate enough to find yourself in the Standard layer of the Abyss. Although very similar to the material plane, this layer has a variety of hellish landscapes and creatures ranging from eternally burning deserts, forests leaking with acidic mists, to the capitol, Wiztm Tasyr: A massive and crowded city that is heavily patrolled and ruled by the demon lord Arlgolcheir. Plantations are scattered around this layer, providing all sorts of materials and valuables for the capitol.
Wherever it is you find yourself, be it the wilderness of the Abyss, or among the wicked city of Wiztm Tasyr, you can notice there is tension building between those that have power, and those that are ruled by power. There are whispers of an up-rise, rumors of a shift in leadership, a revolution.
Something is soon to happen, and hopefully, you’ll find yourself on the winning side of things.

Hi everyone! My name is Rue, and I'm the solo writer and project manager for this project. I have been modeling this game for almost 2 years at this point, and I've begun playtesting the campaign with 5 players who are also some of my working artists. I'm a graduating college student with big dreams and a passion for D&D. I love talking concepts and drafting ideas, so this is my way of showing the world what I've got, with the help of my amazing collaborators and friends!
This is the revamp of my original project, "A Cold Day in Hell." The first project did not meet the goal, and that is due to a number of factors. The main one being I simply wasn't used to how Kickstarter works and got my hopes up that it would be fast and easy. After receiving a number of feedback comments, I have now decided to set the project up by sections instead of working on the entire thing at once, as well as lowering the goal. I will be splitting up the project in 7 parts, each with a different goal. I will focus on one goal at a time until it is met.
This Part 1 goal is for "Enna's Territory." It consists of a plantation and a safe-house as locations, with one main forest surrounding the area, with a number of NPCs and creatures. This is one of the main areas of the campaign apart from the capitol.
Once the goal is met, I can deliver it to the artist that is in charge of that section and I will post updates on her work. This will complete Enna's Territory and I will begin a new project for part 2. The updates I post here will all have to do with Enna's Territory, along with some updates on how the plot works, random encounters, interesting NPCs, and visuals.
I've set the FINAL completion for Summer of 2020 which includes the adventure book with everything the DM needs to get started, a rulebook for playing characters of levels 1-5, 5 pre-generated characters with sheets, one set of dice, random assortment of 2 pre-generated character minis (Violet, Qinris, Sal, Tryx, or Illya).
Risks and challenges
Challenges would definitely include writers block, along with conflicting schedules. Work, school, and just life in general keeps myself and my team overwhelmed at time, only allowing us to work on the project at certain times. There is also the monetary aspect. As of now, I've paid what I can with the money I can save to my artist team, but without money, I can't pay the artists that are passionate about working on this campaign with me, making the end goal go deeper and deeper down the road. These are the main challenges, and they can all be overcome.
Another challenge would be posting constant updates. I try to update weekly, but please hold me accountable because transparency and honestly about what is happening is my first goal with my backers.
