Thanks to all Kickstarter backers who supported the Gnomi project! We managed to beat the first campaign, and unlock a couple stretch goals!
If you discover Gnomi after the project ends, you can order the retail version of the game (when it becomes available) on the Poppy Jasper Games website. While there, you can also join the Poppy Jasper Games email newsletter to hear about what we are up to, including future project announcements.
Gnomi is an easy to learn card game. Players try to steal mushrooms from each other and use Gnomes to enact special abilities. The game features a unique card flipping mechanic, where "composted" mushrooms and "sleeping" gnomes are upside down cards in your hand. The game is for 2 to 6 players and is ideal for people that want a quick game on the go. Games usually last 10 minutes.
Add a second deck for $15 as a gift, or to expand the game to 12 players!
NOTE: This project is a relaunch. To learn what we improved, check out the relaunch section below.
All stretch goals are included in all copies of the game.
The stretch goal box is made from thick cardboard and has a magnetic closure. It will be much more durable when it lives in your pocket. It's super high quality. We think you will be impressed.
We're a small start-up company, and we need help from our fans to spread the word! Even one email to your best friend helps a ton!
Post Pictures of Garden Gnomes, Wild Mushrooms and Silly Hats on our Facebook Page or Using #Gnomi so we can find them. We will include them in our updates.

We might be updating this occasionally throughout the campaign based on your feedback. We love feedback, anything you have to say is appreciated!
If you want an additional copy of the game, please add $15 for each copy. You don't need to pay for extra shipping, because we're cool like that. Games will ship from warehouses in the US, Canada, Australia, China and the EU. This keeps the games close to where KS backers live, which helps keep shipping costs reasonable.
Our shipping costs cover bulk shipment to warehouses, warehouse fees, customs/VAT and finally shipping to you. This is the cheapest way to do it, but it's still very expensive. We'll be fulfilling the US orders ourselves, which will save third party warehouse and handling fees. That's why US shipping is free for you. :)
- Last time we had a basic version and a deluxe version. This time there will only be one version, and we will unlock the deluxe box as a stretch goal. This cuts the minimum manufacturing run in half, which leads to...
- Lowered funding goal by more than half: $6,200. Last time we raised $8,836, so this should be easy!
- The rest of the cost savings is due to our plan to fulfill US orders from my house. That way we don't have to pay a warehouse to pack and ship.
- Improved graphic design.
- A few new cards, including the card you designed in the last campaign
- The Golden Expansion - play a three game campaign
- More playtesting, leading to streamlined rules & gameplay
We want you to have a great experience. We want you to feel that Gnomi deserves it's spot in your game collection. If anything is wrong with your copy of the game, just send us a picture of it, and we will send you a replacement. If you don't like the game, just tell us why, and you can send it back to us and we will return your money. All requests for replacements or your money back must be made within 1 month of the Kickstarter delivery.
This is our second game and third Kickstarter campaign, so we have the experience to make this go well. Check out Lost Woods to see how we did on our previous game. We do this for fun on nights and weekends. We also have day jobs.
Brian is an R&D manager. He has designed, developed and launched a dozen surgical tools and he knows how to get a product to market.
Danny is a video game designer. He's worked on Tomb Raider, the BIT.TRIP series and Tharsis. He has launched a bunch games across mobile and console platforms.
Mike is an artist, and he worked in QA at Zynga in the past. He has been a part of many game launches. His art really brings this game to life.
Risks and challenges
All projects come with some risk. We will work tirelessly to overcome issues. We have a very detailed financial model and a healthy timeline.
We're most likely using WinGo games to manufacture Gnomi. They are known for high quality games. Unless our boat sinks, you will get this game.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
