Gnomi is an easy to learn card game. Players try to steal mushrooms from each other and use Gnomes to enact special abilities. The game features a unique card flipping mechanic, where "composted" mushrooms and "sleeping" gnomes are upside down cards in your hand. The game is for 2 to 6 players and is ideal for people that want a quick game on the go. Games usually last 10 minutes.

Fedor Sosnin (designer of Battle of Durak): I think this game fills this niche quite well. It's light, super quick, it's fun, and best of all it can be played with out a table. There is some interesting choices to make and some great tension as you get towards the end of each round. There are a few situations where stacking some gnomes can be very powerful, but every card game has this to some extent so maybe this is no big deal. Plus I've only had the chance to play as a 2 player game. I have a feeling it will be more interesting with more.
Rob Solomon: I really like this game, I enjoy the simplicity of the rules but the incredible amount of strategy that can be involved. It seems like it gets better with slightly more players, but I love where you are going with it. I enjoy that it can be brought and played anywhere, and that it can be taught to someone quickly and that you do not need a table or other surface to play. I see it being a similar type of game to Love Letter, but I do enjoy Gnomi more and it would probably get more use in my house, as I feel some of this type of game cannot be played 2 player with any sort of enjoyment.
David Heath: The game is really great. I enjoy the brevity, fun, puzzle, memory game involved plus tactics to get the best out of the cards you are dealt.
All stretch goals are included in all copies of the game.

The Limited Edition box is made from thick cardboard and has a magnetic closure. It will be much more durable when it lives in your pocket. It's super high quality. We think you will be impressed. Please keep in mind that it's not a Kickstarter Exclusive. However, we will only manufacture a very limited amount beyond what is purchased on KS.

We will be updating this occasionally throughout the campaign based on your feedback and unlocked stretch goals. Currently on Version 4.
If you want an additional copy of the game, please add $15 for each retail copy and $20 for each Deluxe copy. You don't need to pay for extra shipping. Games will ship from warehouses in the US, Canada, Australia, China and the EU. This keeps the games close to where KS backers live, which helps keep shipping costs reasonable.
Our shipping costs cover bulk shipment to warehouses, warehouse fees, customs/VAT and finally shipping to you. This is the cheapest way to do it, but it's still very expensive.
We want you to have a great experience. We want you to feel that Gnomi deserves it's spot in your game collection. If anything is wrong with your copy of the game, we will send you replacement parts. If you don't like the game, just tell us why, and you can send it back to us and we will return your money. All requests for new parts or your money back must be made within 1 month of the Kickstarter shipment.
This is our second Kickstarter campaign, so we have the experience to make this go well. Check out Lost Woods to see how we did on our previous project. We do this for fun on nights and weekends. We also have day jobs.
Brian is an R&D manager. He has designed, developed and launched a dozen surgical tools and he knows how to get a product to market.
Danny is a video game designer at Choice Provisions, the company that brought you the BIT.TRIP series and Tharsis. He has launched a bunch games across mobile and console platforms.
Mike is an artist, and he worked in QA at Zynga in the past. He has been a part of many game launches. His art is phenomenal art really brings this game to life.
Risks and challenges
All projects come with some risk. We will work tirelessly to overcome issues. We have a very detailed financial model and a healthy timeline.
We're most likely using Panda games to manufacture Gnomi. They are known for high quality games (Lost Woods, Viticulture, Pandemic, Terra Mystica, Tiny Epic Kingdoms). Unless our boat sinks, you will get this game.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
