Have a question?
Our goal is to get Core Game fulfillment underway or finished before Gencon, so that we can bring units for sale. I have no intention of selling Core Games before Backers are shipped theirs. We'll see how it all goes over the next few months tho!

@Hugo, for miniatures games, the group on Facebook called "Miniature Boardgames - Arkham Horror to Zombicide" has a post that stays updated with all the current and upcoming KS campaigns.
@Hugo, boardgamegeek.com, although a lot of people seem to not like BGG, ive heard they are assholes or something haha
I have a non KDM related question. Whats the best website or forum to find info on new boardgame projects that will be arriving this year?
I wonder what the exclusive gencon miniature will be this year...I need to find some good soul that is going to send me one to France.
also, that selling cores at Gencon could be seen as insulting to backers, people buying available, retail priced copies just to resell when we are dyin' (and have paid) to play, its seems like its an obvious thing to not do
I think a good argument would be: because he doesnt need to sell cores at gencon, there will be copies to play of course and merch/promos will be selling like crazy with all the hype. Anyone looking to buy a core for themselves has already done so or pledged through KS. Any cores hitting the market at retail price before KS ships is only a benefit to scalpers or like I said, the rare occasion where someone was unfortunate enough to completely miss the second-coming of KDM buuuut make it to gencon and through the hoard to buy their personal copy there (and we all know that that is like a million to one)
Well, probably if there are units available at gencon our units will be ready in a matter of weeks so not a problem for me either. It's better for Adam & Co to make as much money as possible to keep releasing good stuff for us. 13 million dollars is a lot of money but it has to last 3-4 years and be enough to cover a lot of things so... the more money the better.
I guess he could just sell other minis, do demos and take preorders at Gencon? But i certainly would not mind if they sold games there, even if 90% of them would surely go on ebay inmediately.
I can see it either way, no he doesn't need money but he's still a business and GENCON is the only one he will be at this year. Why go if he's just taking minis and no actual game people can play and see. It's almost like we're tiring his hands. Saying don't sell the game until we have it first. We backed him to create the game, it would be nice if everything worked out but it may not because sooo many people backed him and he had to submit another order.
@Grlscz, as is my understanding of what a "Backer" is. We are like square zero customers
@Phillip I completely disagree with you. In fact as backers we are not just customers, paying in advance we are the reason this can even be done, and they must totally wait till every last backer has their copy before selling any retail. It would be disrespecful not doing so, and we just put well over 15M dollars in their hands, it's not like they need some cash to keep on going.
Speaking of Berserk, chapter 348 of the manga released recently: http://www.thespectrum.net/
What you saw was one long arc that merely established the major players.
Once the Eclipse comes around its mostly monsters.
Anibomination would have sounded better...also Canadian =P
sorry I apologize so much, I'm Canadian. Sorry :D
the conversation-ing is also better than the long silences while we wait. Sorry I'm playing the pessimist, I just think lower expectations will lead to less disappointment, the wait and anxiety around this game are excruciating already. In other news though, I've finally watched through the 90s' "Berserk" (I've seen the 3 arc movies before). The show was definitely a lot more fun to watch, what a cliffhang though, jeez. Haven't gotten into the 2016 release yet, dont really care for the half-cartoon/half-3D abominanimation (abomination + animation). But I really needed more demons and the "hell-world" that KDM clearly drew so much from. Didn't realise when they say KDM was influenced by Berserk that its really only like 2 episodes at the end. Havent read the manga. Sorry im just talking, passing the time. Lets talk about cool shit again on here though, like the old days.
As long as they sell the games at Gencon for full retail price it doesn't bother me one bit. Our pledge copies are heavily discounted. That's our real benefit, and it's a big one.
@Wilamanjaro - yeah totally agree that it's a scalpers paradise waiting out at any of the major conventions to pick up games months before they are released. Kickstarter is the same way for getting over produced versions of games that are not otherwise available with specific options and then selling them. In the end, the company and scalpers win and the end user loses.
well if anything shows up at gencon it wont be the 1.5.
and expect the standard retail price to be applied...
it's seems like it just creates too much of a situation that would cater to scalpers, but yes let's hope for a release this year
@Philip, true sounding enough. Sounds like a scalper fantasy though, hands on 1.5, weeks before everyone gets theirs. The 5% chance that someone, needing a core gets to gencon in time to get one. 95% of people buying them at gencon are only doin it for personal gain.
As much as I'd like to pledge for some sleeves I'm poor after this KS and on top of that the excel arc is confusing as hell so I don't even know how many I need of what to cover what I pledged for =(
I thought I read that he was going to wait to do fulfillment all at once for logistical purposes. But that doesn't mean there won't be any at gencon.
I realize too that b/c we are backers we feel that if we don't have them in hand, then nobody should be able to get them at gencon, but in reality you can't blame them for taking some of their "retail" copies to gencon for sale. As a business stand point, it would be an error to show up there with nothing, if they actually do have their retail copies. I realize my view on this is going to be the opposite of others, but we are backers, we are not owners, and we are not even preferred anything. We like this product and put money forward to help get it made, their business is to then sell them and make sure we get our "rewards"
You might then ask, how they get their retail copies before we could get ours if it is being fulfilled at once? Well as mentioned, our games are going to be on large container vessels taking weeks to travel, while the limited "retail" copies might fly FedEx/UPS directly to Gencon, so they might have them before ours reach port. Here's hoping we get them before year end, what is... is.
You say "all at once" but then think that the "first set might be done and at gencon"...? If anything is ready by August its definitely not going to be on sale to the public at Gencon. That's some wild optimisim you got there, expect to be let down a little bit, sorry
@kd any offical on the explorers of death models.
I've heard all at once, so when the second order is completed the cores will ship. I'm thinking the first set might be done and at GENCON. I hope not because I'll buy one lol
I wonder how many core were put into preproduction (Poots mentioned everything went into production months before the KS started). Is it likely that they will ship as they are completed? Or will the entire campaign have to wait until all numbers have been produced and are ready to ship?
@Chris: we don't know. But remember that shipping date isn't the same as delivery date. If the miniatures ships from China they will be a handful of weeks on sea, then through customs to a facility where all the stuff (cards, boards, books,is put together before finally being shipped to a fulfilment center and then on to us. All along delays can happen.
I would REALLY like the core game to stribe before Gencon, I think Poots would too, but I will be surprised if they manage to pull that off.
Oh nice!! :) I might pledge 3 dollars then..That or one more packet of ramen noodles..Decisions..
@Hugo Haha prob about 50
@Adam Harris..I have 3 dollars left in my account? How many cards can I protect with 3 dollars? Lol

Spreadsheet for card and sleeve count
Anyone know if the extra cores have been completed? If so, shipping will be soon!! Hope I get before GENGON or I may be temped get one there also...
@clark did the 1500 missing backers filled out their surveys? Do you have your production numbers yet? thanks
@ Clark - that is good to hear - thanks!
My guess is that the system had a delay in checking the processed accounts. A very small percent of backers received both emails. If you got a confirmation email AND a warning email. Ignore the warning email.
If you account shows your survey as complete and processed do not send a ticket to our support system asking if you account is ok.
You can check your account to see if your pledge has be processed. If it has you are good to go.
Just got confirmation that my pledge is fine, backer kit just got "overzealous"
I want to have an Armor Kit Bundle.
@ Kingdom Death, Still hoping its time to add the King, Scribe, Forge God and Forge Priest...maybe a baby Sunstalker and Heavy White Knight to the shop again. The King, from the original Kickstarter, is what drew me into this game in the first place. Such a moving image.
The money has been charged from my account too now. Finally done with that =o.
I think Adam might open up for the PM again later down the road, but will exclude the first wave items, later the 2nd, then 3rd.
4th wave items are the ones that are the farthest away from being produced so if the amount that needs to be made go up it shouldn't cause problems i think.
@Hugo Cunha If you received the confirmation email I would not worry.
@Luis yep it was confirmed as charged. Maybe the bank didn't update the latest transactions yet. I hope.
@Hugo, I got charged no problem, few days ago.
@Hugo Cunha you received the charge ok from backerkit, right?
@Luis oops...I have nothing on my CC :// gonna contact my bank.
Lost 3 strong survivors over the weekend by rolling 1's on severe injury tables Trying to kill a Level 2 Lion. aaaahhhhhh. There, got it out of my system. :|
