The Las Vegas Stripper Parade & Expo. Aug 10-12 2019 (Canceled)
Sex positive. All gender. Inclusive. Saturday night Parade. Two day Expo. A proud celebration of the art and culture of strippers.
It began as a simple idea: to create a large scale public parade to celebrate strippers. With a rich history of risque sexiness, Las Vegas was the obvious location. When Cory Mervis (founder of the Las Vegas Halloween Parade) connected with Polly Superstar (founder of Kinky Salon/ Mission Control) the idea blossomed into a plan. The first step was to enlist a Board Of Smart Strippers (AKA The BOSS) so the voice of strippers could direct the organization. The vision expanded into a whole weekend of events: A Stripper Showcase, featuring stripper comedians, artists, musicians, storytellers, and performers who all make their art possible from their job; a two day industry only B2B Expo featuring classes, speakers and vendors geared towards the real needs of strippers; and, of course, a massive public parade. Contributing to this kickstarter gives you exclusive access to an additional party you don't want to miss! On Sunday evening we're hosting a wild pool party with DJs, live entertainment, and poolside VIP suites.
In the evening of Saturday Aug 10th we take to the streets for the first ever Las Vegas Stripper Parade. In this sexy and outrageous spectacle we honor dancers of all genders and body types. Dancers armed with Mardi Gras style throws designed to entice customers proudly climb aboard flame-throwing art cars and glittery floats to show off their skills. The parade is free and open to the public.
SUNDAY AND MONDAY EXPO
The Expo is a two day event a hotel in Downtown Las Vegas. It features classes, speakers and vendors geared towards the stripper community. The needs of strippers come first, with resources and education that address real life challenges including money management, security, health, and wellbeing. And, of course, there will be a vending area chock full of sparkly fabulousness for all their performing needs.
There are a myriad of talents and skills within the international stripper community that will be featured in the showcase. Comedians, artists, musicians, storytellers, performers and speakers who make their art possible from their job.

The Stripper Parade & Expo is the first event to truly support strippers both professionally and personally. I think this is an incredible event and because of that I am showing my support by donating a portion of my services as well as donating financially to the Kickstarter. I wish more industry people took as much care and interest as Cory and Polly. Thank you for creating this incredible event. Lauren MacEwen, 7 Veils Media
Cory and Polly have been working full time since June 2018. Initially they were in research mode, creating a plan. Since then they have signed a contract at the hotel to be the host location for all their events. They have chosen a route in Downtown Las Vegas for the parade route, and met with the City of Las Vegas and had their plan approved. They have the blessing of the Mayor and their government Representative. In Vegas-speak, they are “all in.” They have expanded their team to include sex-positive social media mavens 7 Veils, and legendary publicist Brian Scott Gross from BSG PR (whose clients include the AVN Expo, Lollapalooza and Vivid Entertainment!) They have brought on board event production teams to work with the various facets of the event. They are guided by the BOSS, whose members are dedicated to making sure the real needs of strippers are represented.
The goal is to raise the seed capital needed to launch the production company. This will mean they can cover initial costs and start full time production mode. This seed capital will create a sustainable business model that will continue year after year and potentially spread to other cities. Financial projections have been drawn up. Budgets have been created. Polly and Cory's combined experience of decades of event production give them the ability to create a rock solid plan.
Some of these immediate costs include:
- The contract with the Hotel
- Permits, insurance and paperwork
- Deposits for equipment rental
- Professional legal and financial guidance
- Marketing team
- Social media team
- Vendor sales team
- Sponsorship sales team

Risks and challenges
While there are always risks with a first time event of this scale, Polly and Cory have overcome many of the first steps to make sure this event is a success. They are both powerhouses of event production with 35 years of combined experience, and they have both dedicated their full attention to this project. While the organization of the production itself is all well in hand, they have no illusions about the challenge they are taking on at the cultural level. The City of Las Vegas has been supportive of the project as this is a legal and taxable market that Las Vegas thrives on. In our culture strippers should be celebrated and adult entertainment should be seen as just that- entertainment for adults. Destigmatizing this industry and humanizing it's workers is no small feat! That's why we need your help to make it happen.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
