POINTER is a wine glass designed for outdoor use, in a way that you will never spill your wine again. You can pin it in the ground and stop worrying about it tipping over at the first wind blow.
The concept design combines the elegant with the practical, incorporating all the characteristics of a classy wine glass while partially replacing the glass leg with a metal stake.
POINTER is the perfect tool to take along when you go for a picnic, to the beach or when you simply want to lay in the grass in the garden or in the park, sharing a bottle of wine with your friends or family.
Two POINTERS come packed together in an easy to carry box. You can simply put it in your bag, next to your bottle of wine and go out. It opens at both ends and makes each POINTER accessible immediately. Once you take the glasses out, stick them in the ground and start using them.
If you don't want anyone to take your POINTER, you can have it engraved with your name when you pledge for PREMIUM POINTER. Also, if you are a cool boss, you can have it engraved with your company's name and POINT-IT-FOR-YOUR-STAFF.
The first 200 POINTERS have been produced manually, by me. All the components that have been used could be found on the market. After sketching by hand and on computer, the lower part of the glasses was removed, metal pipes and tent pegs were adjusted till the proper proportions and the most comfortable design were found. The design has been constantly improving over the last year and there are still many things to try.

Risks and challenges
I have so far carefully crafted more than 200 POINTERS with my own hands. That was fun, but it also meant around three hours of manual work per glass, which is why I decided to take a step further and team up with several factories. Besides many product improvements, this collaboration has also reduced considerably the manufacturing time and that makes it now easier for us to deliver.
Having prepared the Kickstarter campaign at the same time as continuing prototyping has minimised potential delays, since production has already encountered several problems and we now know how to overcome those.
Learning daily from the unpredictability of events, we trust to have calculated precisely the delivering time. However, sending away so many Pointers at the same time will be a challenge for the POINTER team as well and we hope that once the wheels are in motion, we will be able to get the POINTERS in your garden as estimated.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
