As a sixteen year old street kid I started singing on the sidewalks of Seattle to earn money to eat. By the age of nineteen I turned to the public library to begin booking my own shows at coffee shops, and started touring. I went on many tours performing everything from hip hop to indie rock as a singer & guitar player.
After introducing myself as a solo artist via my production of The Bedroom Show, I hitch-hiked, touring solo for two years to promote myself. Moving to Los Angeles in 2012, I played hundreds of open mics and too many shows to no one other than the bartender before I slowly managed to start meeting all the right people.
Since coming to LA, I've played music with guys from the James Brown band, Prince, Earth Wind & Fire, Bootsy Collins, and more. I'm currently writing a song with Erik Issacs & world renowned songwriter Alan Roy Scott, who has written for Celine Dion, Roberta Flack, & The Spinners. I’ve also recorded with rapper Ras Kass and I sang on Travis Marsh’s new album with Grammy nominated singer Trenyce. In addition to a multitude of musical endeavors, I’ve worked as a designer as well as worked with notable fashion designers Destiney Bleu, PNiddy, & Madam Black. I have made costumes for Beyonce, Janelle Monáe, London Fashion Week, Empire/Teen Choice Awards, Corey Feldman, and a variety of other shows, including my own. Every day in this city is a wild adventure and it has shown me I have what it takes.
I've been recording, rehearsing, and preparing to release the best music I've ever made recorded all analog and in DSD. With an incredible team, I finally have everything in place to take the show on the road! I need one last push from my friends and family to take me from the sidewalks to stadiums!

"This girl has pipes! I will not be surprised when she’s popping up on the radio shutting it down!" – Icon vs Icon
"Poeina's vocal range is insane, heart-aching atmosphere, excellent dynamic tension" – Slug Magazine
"One performance stood out above the rest, she mesmerized the audience, Often evoking another era with seductive, soulful vocals" – Oregon Music News
My music has most often been compared to the gritty, roaring vocals of Janis Joplin, as well as the delicate, sultry, and inviting vocals of Norah Jones. I am developing a show with the star quality and tension of Prince, combined with the rebellious rock n roll of Siouxsie & the Banshees. This is all original analog music captured in DSD audio and produced by SKY Dangcil who worked with Michael Jackson, Prince, Chad Hugo, Frank Sinatra, and Pat Benatar. I have been working with SKY for the last three years recording all the best songs I've written over the course of my whole life. I love working with him because he really understands me as an artist. SKY has put in blood, sweat, and tears to protect my vision and see this album through to fruition. We will be completing the Unloveable album and embarking on the Revolution of Roses World Tour with an all-star managing and consulting team and backing band to ensure we are playing on the best stages, festivals and events of 2019.
I love Kickstarter because it allows me to create the best possible music while remaining independent. Thanks to Kickstarter, family, friends, and my fans, I was able to put out my first solo album and go on my first European tour. It’s only natural for me to keep working with this successful platform! Make your pledge today and Join The Revolution of Roses to be a part of the making of the music.

With the $20,000 we raise here we will be able to finish production & release of the first single Unloveable and Unloveable music video. We will also complete the first three songs of the Unloveable album, complete our new Press Kit and rebrand Poeina in preparation for the Revolution of Roses world tour.
We have a stretch goal of an additional $80,000 for public relations and marketing, merchandising, rehearsal space to prepare the show for tour, basic living expenses to help me continue working 8 days a week, as well as money to finish production on the remaining songs on the album which includes paying my studio musicians and my producer for all these sessions. If we don’t meet our stretch goal we will use what we raise to finish as much of the project as possible then reach out to interested investors that will be able to cover the rest of what we need to be ready for the Revolution of Roses world tour.
I put together an incredible team of people who believe in my vision and in my music. They are all very talented and I know they all want to see me succeed. It’s incredible to have so much support right now. Literally all my dreams are coming true and I need one more push from all of you my friends, family, and fans to get me the rest of the way from the streets to the stadiums. Here are some of the key people on board:
Please make your donation now! Even a $1 donation to show your support would make a huge impact for the success of this campaign. Thank you for believing in me and helping me take back the music with the Revolution of Roses World tour.

Risks and challenges
In previous campaigns, I had a hard time fulfilling all the rewards on time with the added expenses of shipping, etc. I've learned a LOT from the last two campaigns. This time, my budget includes pledge prize expenses and I have a team to help me keep on track with pledge fulfillment. I set later dates for pledge fulfillment this time, as well, so that if we get things done earlier, no one will mind. If it takes us a couple extra months to hit the road to fulfill things like the lunch date & private house concerts on the tour route, everyone will be prepared to expect that window of time for all of this to come together. When we hit the road, Summer or Fall, will depend on if we hit our stretch goal or if we get that second portion of funds from our interested investor parties which may take extra time to present proposals and finish contracts.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
