Dear Backers,

For the several hundred of you who have received Jacks, we're very thankful for the great feedback and reviews and we are eager to send out the rest. For the online manual, you can follow this link.

We will not be able to fulfill Jack this holiday season. A few hundred more will ship out soon but the rest will be after the holidays.

5,500 units will be assembled right after the new year, completing in the second week of January and shipping out by the third. Whereas our first production run was only black units, this next run will be for all colors.

Here is some good news in light of the manufacturing delays:

1. Voice assistant launch from headphones - Now you can launch your voice assistant from your headphones themselves. Hold down the play/pause button and it will launch it automatically. 

2. More transmit mode compatibility - When using Jack to transmit audio from a non-Bluetooth source (like a TV, record player, etc.) we promised the ability to send synchronized, aptx low latency audio to up to two receiving Jacks. Now, we are able to support more, but not all, devices like 3rd party Bluetooth speakers or headphones. It's hard to make a full compatibility list because of unpredictable Bluetooth configurations, but we have tested with Bose and Samsung over-the-ear headphones with good results.

3. Improved antennae efficiency - In areas with high RF interference (like conference halls with wifi/Bluetooth devices everywhere), we were able to increase connection stability by tweaking the antennae configuration a bit. In regular use, the connection will be stable anyway but we're glad to make this improvement anyway.

4. Customer service improvements - On Monday, will introduce our first in-house team member dedicated solely to customer service! We are very excited and are looking forward to providing faster and better service to you.

      Like other posters, you are required to fulfill our rewards or refund us - i’d sooner have my two units but it doesn’t feel like that is going to happen “. A Project Creator is not required to grant a Backer’s request for a refund unless the Project Creator is unable or unwilling to fulfill the reward.
      Project Creators are required to fulfill all rewards of their successful fundraising campaigns or refund any Backer whose reward they do not or cannot fulfill.”

      How can I know something about estimated delivery? I haven't found any email and the "customer support" webpage from Podo Labs doesn't work either.

      I have reached out to Podo labs through their website and have still not received a reply. I have also contacted Kickstarter who have told me to get in touch with Podo Labs directly, I get the feeling they can’t or don’t want to help very much. I’m starting to get a very bitter taste in my mouth and after this debacle of a campaign will be VERY wary of funding future projects through Kickstarter. This could have all been avoided just by being more communicative.

      Guys, we need to know what's going on with the Jack project. Give us some news. You should be able to set a new delivery by now. Otherwise people are going to start thinking that you are having problems with your providers and that you are out of money (in which case you will need to start refunding, and that is really bad).

      This is massively overdue. I leave the country to study abroad for all of 2018 and will most likely not be home to address this package. It will cost me even more to ship it to the other side of the world. I was hoping to have this over the last 6 months. The hope of all the ladies and gentlemen in this feed were riding on this order to come in at least before the New Year. More active responses are desired and necessary. This is now an ambiguous time frame.

      I haven't got mine yet. It's almost a year now from the date I had pledged.

      As others have said, you're too late. I am sure we are not the only backers who have already purchased other options. Other options that are small, work great, and have playback controls built into them. I no longer have any interest in this product.

      This is ridiculous, the time and deadline missed is absurd. Even if the product comes I don’t know if I’ll even want it. I already know the review isn’t positive thus far and starting to wonder if my money has just been stolen.

      Quite frankly, Kickstarter should suspend any company that misses a deadline like this. They should not be pursuing another product launch or development when you cannot meet the demand or production schedule. Kickstarter is purely an investment platform for companies where in lieu of share of stock, you receive a product or a discount or maybe a t shirt. An investment never has a guarantee of a return, clearly that is the case here. I have written this off already. Better off just buying Bluetooth headphones at this point, i doubt this ever shows up. If it does, i will probably just give it away to someone. I would say the Podo Labs brand is beyond ruined at this point. You cant miss delivery deadlines and provide limited communication and expect positive product reviews.

      I don't really have anything positive to say about this experience. And I don't want to say anything negative...

      But it's been an absurd amount of time. I've had life-changing events, changed jobs, moved further from my home town than I've ever lived, sold a house...and I still don't have the thing that I backed because of a need I've had since 6mo before the Kickstarter even began.

      These “updates” are a joke - excuses, excuses, excuses. I want a refund. The promises are only blatant lies. Stop making excuses and deliver even if that means you have to work over the holidays - that’s what small business owners do. You have failed to consider us, the customers and backers, when posting these updates. The don’t mean a damn thing if you keep whining that this didn’t go right and that didn’t go right - those are excuses.

      To: Kickstarter, I am done backing projects that miss deadlines by 3x or more. Good bye.

      You’re too late now. The Griffin iTrip is smaller, cheaper and I’ve been using it for 4 months.

      Concept was great but you’ve failed.

      So, maybe I'm reading this wrong, but it seems like this update is telling me the Jack I received last week is already outdated and all of the other backers are getting a better model.

      I didn't sign up for a beta model guys... how is that fair?

      I have already purchased wireless headphones as the timeline is ridiculous. Lesson learned, don't spend to much time backing projects. By time the project is completed the technology may be "not so new". I have had more than my share of disappointments on Kickstarter. Will not be too fast to back any more projects.

      This is turning in to a joke now.

      You had a project with $800k from 16k backers to finish. You've not finished that yet.

      You've started another project with about 800 backers, and $230k of their money. I bet your happy thats only 800 orders. I guess they won't complain as much when it's late.

      It makes the backers of Jack, feel like we're being taken for a ride, you didn't finish Jack and started on something else. Your attention should have been on getting Jack finished.

      The whole freaking point of backing projects like Jack is that it's showing something innovative and looks like the timelines means it maybe relevant. With all these delays you take that idea and concept and turn it into sweet fudge all. Other things come out over the time which superseed and make the backers wonder why the backed it.

      This update means nothing, I still have not receive my delivery yet! My order had been made more than 10 months ago. If it is not going to be deliver, can I have my refund? Otherwise pls expedite the shipment.

      Hi Podo team, this is very disappointing news.
      Two month ago (update Oct 19) you said that the second batch will be 12,500 units. That's half the amount you need to fulfill Kickstarter.
      3 weeks later (update Nov 10) it were only 6,000 units in the second batch and they should've been shipped in December. Now you say again the second will have fewer units (5,500). Are you sure that this is the right number?
      In November your forcast was to produce 6,000 units in 3 - 5 weeks. Now you say you can produce 5,500 units in less than 2 weeks. I don't think that's a reliable timeline.
      And when do you plan to produce the 18,000+ units you need toi fulfill Kickstarter? No word about that timeline in this update again.
      What about the issue with the tolerances you highlighted in the last updates? Is it fixed? No word about that topic.
      So Podo team, it's up to you to post another update with the answers to these questions and the other questions of the other backers immediately.

      To describe how I feel after this update... Disappointment doesn't do it justice.
      This is the worst kickstarter experience I ever had. I bought this under premise that I will get my order SIX MONTHS AGO.
      After six months you've made few hundred units and going to start make other 5000 in nearly two months ?
      Are you freaking joking ?! Disgusting truth is that I'm not getting my order probably until end of spring.
