Hey i know many of these projects hit little bumps in the road, I hope its not too much to ask but can you guys make a video up date, i know you said you guys don't have anything of much new to report but it'd be awesome to see how far along you guys are and to hear a little something about the journey so far that you guys have taken to bring all the pieces together.

    2. Annie

What happens when you back projects that are way over funded >1M or too many backers - problems surface: run out of funds, 2 years delay, run away with the money, shit product... Example coolest cooler, ouya, pebble, zano, revols.. Unfortunately TIKO is one of them and i feel sorry for those that backed. I've stopped backing way over funded campaigns.
However podo has been doing a great job and been transparent and we are almost at the finish line. Takes some patience guys! Kickstarter tests everyone's patience :)

      (Frankenspiel FS-X)

I backed this project in 2014 and still haven't received anything and people over here can't wait any longer because this product wasn't delivered in June - SMH

A backer even bought their domain name before they could and promised to give it back only after they delivered the product (which they didn't)...

    4. Jerry Bocci on

      @roger smith, @Howard Gibson,
you guys want a giggle? check out the nearly 25,000 comments on the TIKO project, here:
MOST of those are, "where's my product?" or "where's my refund?"

    5. Howard Gibson on

      @roger smith

It gets better everyday, refunds indeed lol

Let’s just wait ok? It’s great to hear from you guys again please make the product great as it’s worth for waiting!

    8. Jared Chen on

Can I request a refund? It's been too long & I can't wait anymore! Please let me know how would the refund process be done!

I'm disappointed that you offer the same price on Indiegogo for pre-ordering jack as you offered as exclusive Kickstarter price. Can you please explain why you offer exclusive prices to backers and give the same prices to non-backers?

    11. Aleksander Kowalski on

What can you say about recently announced Blueborne Bluetooth vulnerability ( Is Jack patched for it? If not, do you plan for a firmware update and if so, how do you plan to distribute it?

    12. Stefan Lütjen

Are we allowed to change our shipping address or is this too late now?

    13. Roger Smith

I just check in to read comments about not receiving the product for a good laugh. Thanks for everyone who doesn't read updates. It makes my day.

      I'll check in tomorrow.

When do I get my pledge? I am still waiting

    16. Annie

agree with @C.c. Alex Teh. As Apple prepares to release Iphone 8 and X, they have also started and have been working on the next Iphone behind closed doors. Just that their not telling you like how Podo is obliged to let it's backers know

      I didn't receive my product!

    18. Adrian Martin on

Yeah, there are delays, but not outside of realistic KS limits. It happens. The product exists, will be made, will get delivered.

As someone who backed Superscreen, this project is a breeze... :)

what a disaster. the worst KS experience i ever had.

    20. LK Lee on

Just deliver as promise. No need to cloud us consumers with technicalities of manufacturing processes.

    21. sam orridge on

Wow. Will everyone stop acting so fucking butt hurt about the delays. This isn't amazon. You have invested in a product that technically doesn't exist yet. If you have a a problem with delays don't back stuff on kickstarter. Hopefully we will receive them In October, if not oh well. There are some games I've backed on here that are years behind schedule cough witchmarsh, time spinner cough. But I can think of more productive things to do than cry on kickstarter. If you wanted the product sooner, make it yourself :).

Creators, thank you for taking the time to do this right. Don't let the negative comments get you down. Perhaps those backers don't realize that developing a new product, especially one with a lot of technical components, takes time, and often involves delays either due to factors beyond your control or because you are adhering to high standards of production. I appreciate the likelihood that the final product will be excellent. Thanks for the update.

So when are we going to get our shit? I bought it for school and now Im almost graduated.

If Podo can start another project while working on this, I am more than happy.

This means they are consistently producing items, designs N inventions. A company doing that is a company that is surviving.

A company that is surviving won't cheat your money or do anything to jeopardise their reputation.

Furthermore, manufacturing department and design department are two different department.

After finishing a design, the design department moves on to a new project while the manufacturing department takes the baton.

This makes a company work flow better and continuously churn in money.

So for those people worried that Podo is promoting other products while not delivering this. Please. Please just churn your brain through on how a company works and how if you own a company, you would want it to survive and thrive.

    27. Podo Labs 4-time creator on

      Dear backers,

We apologize for all the concern and for not having an update for you recently! The status is since the last update, we have continued to make the tooling modifications and so do not have much to report until everything is ready and assembly begins. The boards have been finished, and so the main schedule driver at this point are the modified plastics.

Injection of the first plastics were done yesterday, and since they're only the first shots a little bit of tweaking needs to be done. Our Sept 17th target did not have much buffer for things needing another day here and there, but overall we do not expect that date to slip if at all. We will get tracking numbers out for the first units this month.

Thank you for bearing with us everyone, we want nothing more than to get these out the door as well! We've endured a delay together and come this far; we do not want to overlook anything or slip up at the last minute. We are trying our best to be aggressive and optimistic at the timeline but focus on the product first. Thank you for the encouragement!

    28. Annie

Did you guys even read the August 17th update?

It says "We have finished the board modifications and will now move towards production! The first run will be a few hundred units we expect to finish Sept 17. We don't expect these to have any problems, and we will ship them out immediately. "

I suggest waiting until at least September 17 for the next update

Re: Starting a new campaign before delivering on an existing one...

Imagine if Apple only announced the iPad after they shipped all of the iPhones? We'd still be using Palm Pilots as our daily devices.

    31. Dennis on

+1 for John Rykart, well said.

    32. John Rykart on

You realize Kickstarter isn't a store, right? Your not "buying" anything. You are helping to fund a product and bring it to life. In exchange for your funding, you receive a reward. I've supported a few tech projects and they almost always go over, especially popular ones. Things take time when retooling happens. I've even seen a year over. We just need to wait it out and enjoy them when they do arrive.

      Chaim on

I understand that there can be delays in production and such. But why do they start new products if they can’t finish the first one? Perhaps I don’t understand manufacturing as much as I should. Either way they should constantly provide updates.

      @Sam Walman:
Did you read the entirety of the previous update? PODO Labs said that the new PCBs were being created and the plastics tooling redone to fit, and that they expect to begin assembly this month. Based on previous updates, if they get the PCBs in-house in the next week or two, then shipments to backers should begin by late October or early November.

"While our production team focuses on managing the factory for Jack, our design team is eager to finally show you our new creation, Belle!"

Copied and pasted straight from the August 17 update. Podo Labs is more than one person, and more than one team, and they can focus on more than one thing at a time. What would the design team have to offer at this point in the process? It's in the production team's hands now. Not to mention, from what the updates on Belle are looking like, they haven't even started real progress on making the product yet - they've just put up a page, and some PR person is answering questions. Be patient. Things happen that are out of anyone's control. If you want one of these that badly, go to Best Buy and get an off-brand one.

    47. Adrian Martin on

      Look at the project updates.
