A happy ending is when you give someone a greeting card and they don't just pocket the cash inside--they laugh hysterically at the card, then take the money. Afterwards, they feel all warm inside.
Now that's a happy ending.

I don't know about you, but when I go down the greeting card aisle, I usually gravitate towards the funny ones. Usually, I'll end up with a kind of funny one and a sort of funny one. With Happy Ending Greetings, I hope to be able to offer cards that deliver a different kind of sense of humor than what people usually see on the shelves.
My sister and I are striving to develop this idea of Happy Ending Greetings to make it a reality. We don't want to color inside the lines (don't worry, the cards look great!). We want Happy Ending Greetings to be that Purple Cow--that greeting card that stands out.
We are looking to Kickstarter to help make this happen. We hope that potential backers share the same sense of humor as our cards do! Your support means everything to us and if you help out, we will return the favor with our Happy Endings! Thank you so much for your support.
Many designs were created, but only 10 were chosen to be released for the first run.
The designs are printed on 5" x 6.5" sized card stock cards with rounded edges. Each comes in its own cellophane bag to protect the design.
With the funding, Happy Ending Greetings will be able to go to the next level by adding new designs, using eco-friendly materials, developing an e-commerce website, and leasing a professional printer. Here is the breakdown of what the funding will go towards:
Blank folded greeting cards + envelopes
Heavy duty rounded corner cutter
Printer toner cartridges
Cello bags to protect each individual card
Stay flat rigid envelopes for shipping
Shipping costs (a big chunk of the costs)
As you can see, a lot goes into a simple greeting card production. I am excited to share with you something that I love. Be sure to check out the rewards that are available!
The rewards have been simplified by only offering them in quantities of: 1, 3, 5 and 10. Feel free to mix and match rewards if you desire another quantity.
Risks and challenges
If the project is successfully funded, I am prepared to gird up my loins to get these greeting cards printed, packaged, and delivered so that you may deliver your very own Happy Endings.
Since half of the first collection is considered Valentine's Day cards, the goal is to have them delivered by February 14th in case you wish to give your loved one a Happy Ending. That gives me most of January to fulfill the orders--which is more than enough time. Just be sure to fill out the survey as soon as possible once the project has ended!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
