About

Thomas Clay, Jr. has lived a life of fascinating highs and lows.

He was raised in Louisville Kentucky, son of Thomas Clay, one of the top attorneys in the nation and the most prominent attorney in the state of Kentucky. Thomas Jr. is the first male in 5 generations to not be an attorney, a tradition that goes all the way back to his ancestor Henry Clay, the distinguished political leader who served as Secretary of State under John Quincy Adams.

Clay was a self-taught chess master at the age of 12. When his mother was impressed that Omar Sharif became a bridge master in 6 weeks, Clay did it in 30 days.

He lived with an undiagnosed Pituitary Adenoma in his brain, one missed by several doctors, which was finally discovered 17 years after he survived 4 strokes at the age of 19.

For the past five years, this social satirist, liberal commentator, and podcaster has managed the American News X Facebook page that he started in 2014. During that time, he has amassed over 500,000 followers. Every day, his encyclopedic knowledge of the law and no-holds-barred writing style brings hope to his hundreds of thousands of fans who have lost hope in the current political climate.

In early 2019, Clay relocated to California to devote himself to his writing full time and to keep growing his massive Facebook presence where he regularly hosts lively debates on his profile with thousands of fervent like-minded individuals.

Pocket Full of Pie, a collection of essays about Clay’s extraordinary life and the story of how a boy raised in the conservative, racist climate of the south grew up to become a militant liberal activist, is Clay’s first book.

We are raising funds to edit, self-publish and promote this book that so many of Thomas's fans have been waiting and asking for.  With these funds, we will be able to make it available by the end of the year, on Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble.com and many other online retailers.

Risks and challenges

The manuscript is written, all it needs is to be edited and published. Not really much risk involved unless we don't meet our backer goal within the allotted 2 months
