Kiwi 4 is a plug and play automotive tool that connects to the onboard diagnostic port (OBDII / CAN), retrieves information from your car's computer, and wirelessly transmits to your smart phone, tablet, smart watch, or PC.
We've engineered Kiwi 4 to outperform all other OBD solutions. Kiwi 4 employs 4 new innovations:
MultiGauge™ processor so that Kiwi 4 can operate in self-run mode without a persistent connection with your smartphone. Audio speaker so that you can set audible alerts, and warnings. High performance accelerometer giving you the ability to measure your real-time horsepower and torque while freeing up your phone from having to be permanently mounted. Micro SD card slot enables parameters to be set, logged, then downloaded to your phone or PC.

The OBD or (Onboard Diagnostic Port) plug is usually found near or under your steering column for easy plug and play access.
Kiwi 4 paired with Kiwi OBD App with advanced polling is up to 8 times faster than the nearest competitor and consumes ultra low power allowing you to leave your device installed permanently in your vehicle. Compatible with all standard OBDII protocols, Kiwi 4 installs in seconds. Firmware can be updated via Bluetooth and employs a nearly invisible design. Risks and challenges
PLX Devices has been designing and successfully bringing products to market for over 15 years with a focus in automotive and consumer electronics. Kiwi 4 will be our 11th Kickstarter project. We're absolutely confident we can do the job.
Electrical Engineering - We don't expect any significant problems to arise as this has been our area of expertise for over a decade. If a problem were to arise, it would be in the assembly process of the electronics. Small components may not be soldered properly onto the printed circuit board thus creating unreliable electrical connections. This could potentially cause a few weeks of delay. To combat this, our electrical engineers will be working closely with our overseas partners to adhere to our strict quality standards.
Computer Engineering - We also don't expect any significant problems as this is also our area of expertise. If a problem were to arise, it would be in detecting bugs in the software code which could hinder Kiwi 4 from fully functioning. To combat this, a simple rewrite of the software code will solve any problems that may arise.
We already have our manufacturing all setup in some of the world's best factories which adhere to internationally recognized quality standards and procedures such as ISO9001, ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14000, TQM, SPC.
