Our Kickstarter Video:
Furious Beauty is a feature documentary film about the soulful journey of professional hip-hop dance company Versa-Style, on their way to creating an inspired theatrical stage show in Los Angeles. They unite as a family, pulling together company members from the street dance scene and from the yards of Los Angeles public schools. Led by their company directors, Jackie “Miss Funk” Lopez and Leigh “Breeze-Lee” Foaad; these dancers set out to turn their fears and desperation into performance art on stage.

Sneak Peek Scene from the film below!
1) To raise funds to finish post-production of the film which includes hiring a music composer to create a soundtrack. We also want to clean up the sound design.
2) To bring awareness for Versa-Style Dance Company and their artistic outreach programs to youth in Los Angeles schools and around the world.
3) To bring the film to the attention of film festivals and media professionals who would consider being supportive of youth arts education programs.
4) To share the emotional story of this film as a message of healing for families and for those who are touched by the performing arts.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
The film is almost done! We’ve been privately funding the production of the film since fall 2010. Now, we’re near the finish line and need to raise funds to finish its post-production.
We’re launching a Kickstarter campaign in July 2012 for 30 days.
Please consider joining our campaign as a dedicated backer! For every donation level, we’re giving rewards. For example, for a donation of $25, we’re giving backers a download of the entire music soundtrack and a high-definition download of the finished film. All donations through Kickstarter are done via Amazon Payments. How Kickstarter works is like this: if we meet or exceed our target goal, the campaign is successful and the money is donated to our campaign. If the target goal isn’t met, no money is exchanged.
Also, please remember that we need to raise at least $5,000 by the end of our Kickstarter campaign or we won't be able to receive any of the funds! So every bit helps with our campaign and we thank you in advance!
