We are still working on the demo to make it as perfect as possible. We are not yet able to give a precise date, however we estimate that works may take about one week. Despite doing everything we can, we cannot promise to deliver on such deadline, thus, the official demo release time is still "before the end of the campaign".
Sadly, we are not going to provide such solution. At the moment, the funding regards only steam, and we all have to accept that. We are truly sorry, and hope that this will not discourage you from playing our game.
Designing the entertainment in Lust for Darkness we were looking for a golden mean. We did not want to create a mechanics-oriented game (as to not knock the player’s attention away from the storyline). We also didn’t want to make an interactive movie. Lust for Darkness is an exploration-based game in which sometimes you have to put on your thinking cap just to push the story forward, and sometimes simply avoid the danger. That’s why there is no straight answer, but we ask you to trust us. We also think the demo will give you a good idea of how the discussed aspects work.
When it comes to fighting creatures of Lusst’ghaa we follow the Lovecraftian rule - facing the monsters equals death. But that does not mean we won’t have any occasions to “defeat” a monster. It will, however, be an element implemented into a certain situation. The basic mechanics of the game does not include the ability to fight.
After the campaign is over we won’t have much time left for development. It the game is a success we will seriously consider creating DLC’s and those may include the elements (implemented in a new story) which are will not be unlocked in stretch goals.
So, if a certain stretch goal is not reached it will not appear in the final basic version of the game.
Erotica is one of the main themes of Lust for Darkness, so ingame nudity is to be expected. However it’s not an overwhelming amount as we wanted to approach the matter in a tasteful manner to fascinate and shock in just the right moments.
