64-Bit Edition Powers Up!

The limited edition ’64-bit’ package has been one of Yooka-Laylee’s most sort after backer rewards, with all packages currently sold out and a man, somewhere, frantically attempting to source 500 mint 90s cartridges.

The retro-themed package comes complete with classic box, signed manual, digital copy of the game, CD soundtrack, art book and of course the aforementioned physical game thing with built-in flash drive. There’s another exciting detail we can’t reveal just yet, but in the meantime enjoy this early mock-up of what the box and cart could look like:

Such retro.

Flash drive AND potential weapon.

I do hope you're either using reproduction N64 carts or gutting crappy carts like NFL Whatever.

    2. Gerardo Enrique Ortiz Lira on November 24, 2015

I´m in love of that cartridge right now! And the image with the Nintendo 64 is just AMAZING!!!

    3. Chris Margroff on November 24, 2015

Secret un-revealed detail you say. I WONDER WHAT IT IS?! I WANT TO KNOW!

    4. Patrick "Kuntos" Sapp on June 12, 2015

Daily reminder that the YL cartridge is just a functional 64gb flash-drive. It's not a working N64 game.

    6. Danny Occhipinti on May 18, 2015

Oooohhh!! I like it!! I have my old N64 console in my closet too!!! I guess it brought me good luck to see this!!! Lol. You guys are the best!!! This is an excellent tier!!!

Hahaha. I like how you spelt sought as sort. Given how English works, if enough people spell it that way, it's not wrong. English is stupid, so I say write how you speak! Becuz! :)

So, basically your going to add more stuff to the N64 tier that is sold out and not going to open up any more slots for those that would like one now with the new added add ons for it. Not happy with this move unless more slots open up for this tier

    11. Kris Butler on May 16, 2015

The way I've read this update leads me to believe you're going to be sacrificing actual n64 carts to produce these... This is a terrible thing to do... Find someone to help you make reproduction shells, please!! I can't stress thing enough... Don't sacrifice real n64 carts for this product!

My first suggestion would be hit up stone age Gamer... I believe they already make their own shells and they look just as good as the real deal.

Hopefully I'm over reacting... Hopefully I've misunderstood when you said you need to find 500 mint cartridges... *fingers crossed*

you have to say "sort after" with an english accent (although not if it's a west country one)

    13. Matt Mozingo on May 16, 2015

Looks awesome. Hit me right in the nostalgia.

    19. Iftekhar Ahmed on May 16, 2015

Fantastic work! Just don't play with the nostalgia cards for too long!

    20. RogueDarkJedi on May 16, 2015

      How do you sort after?

    21. Tim Clark on May 16, 2015

I'm was so lucky when I saw there was one spare slot in the 64-Bit Edition.
I can't wait to get this!

Guys stop tempting me to raise my pledge even more than I already have. Seriously though if I had the money I would seriously get this.

    24. Rex705 on May 16, 2015

      Oh man that looks so cool wish I knew about that. I so want one ;_;

    25. Robert Halenda on May 16, 2015

Hope these come back with more support. I didn't have the money for one of these beauties before but in a week's time I may. Good luck with the campaign, lads.

      'sort after'? Sought surely?

    32. Lino on May 16, 2015

Suggestion: "100% Kickstarted" or "100% Fan-backed" would be better suited for the golden seal, don't you think?

If only you could have more. Such a cool idea.
I'm wondering if it wouldn't be simpler to 3D print a cartridge. Plus it'd be easier to make it have the space for a flash drive than gutting an N64 cartridge, wouldn't it?

    33. Branden Wright on May 16, 2015

i would love a picture of the flash drive with the USB port sticking out so i can see how this thing "works". im not doubting you just wanna see it.

    34. Bego Morillas Guijarro on May 16, 2015

Awesome! I want the classic box in a PDF, for printing it at my home, please :'( The retro-themed package is SO expensive...

    35. The Resplendent Rose on May 16, 2015

Would you guys consider adding the N64 box and cartridge sticker for anyone who wanted to DIY their own flash drive as it were.???

    39. Vryl
      on May 16, 2015

I assume you guys mean 'sought after'. It's the past tense of 'seek'. Sort after doesn't mean anything.

    40. Brett B on May 16, 2015

      Awwww yeaaahhh.
