PubCrawl is the ideal party game before a night out or for an evening with your friends. Taking place in a colorful universe, PubCrawl aims to be a fun and social game that will make you laugh and have a good time. The idea of the game came about two years ago with the desire to have, not only the best party game that you could think of, but also to have it be visually beautiful and practical. The journey to get where we are now has been a fun ride and we are more than happy with the results so far. We found great partners with whom we could share our vision and our enthusiasm. Our choice for the future of our journey was obvious. We are now at a crossroad, and we turn to you, to help us make PubCrawl a success, and the best party game.
We are hoping to get enough support to cover the base production costs (materials, printing, boxes, accessories, etc.) to make PubCrawl a reality. If all goes well and beyond expectations, we look forward to investing in manufacturing equipment to control entirely the process, and even bring you other exciting games!
Universe of PubCrawl: We take you on an adventure through the universe of PubCrawl, reviving memories of younger years and reliving the excitement and anticipation of our first night out. From the moment you hear that your ‘’crush’’ is going out, to the very end of the night, journey through six unique chapters. It all begins casually at home, but soon you find yourself surrounded by your friends, travelling to the city, enjoying the nightlife and hoping for the best. Each space is designed to fit the theme of its chapter, creating a storyline throughout the game that you can follow and relate to.
Basics: PubCrawl can be played with any number of players, the rules are few and quick to learn. Everyone starts at the beginning of chapter 1 and must make his/her way to the end of chapter 6. Everybody chooses a token and what represents for them an appropriate drink: we want everyone to enjoy the game at their own pace and have fun!
Challenge your friends: We aim to make PubCrawl as much interactive as possible. That’s why we are constantly changing spaces around, trying new things, experimenting with new mechanics. We have plenty of ideas, but you can help, as you will see below. Even though the rules are simple, we want you to enjoy every single game and make sure that you get a good time, every time.
Tempt your luck: One will always be bad. Prepare yourself.
Multiple difficulty levels: Often seen in video games, but rarely on boardgames. PubCrawl offers you the possibility to play three difficulty levels: easy (d8), normal (d6), hard(d4). Simply choose a die at the beginning of the game and you will literally feel the difference. The spaces are made to take into consideration your choice. If we ask you to roll even or odd, you are good either way. However, if a space has multiple results, the lower value will always be the worst!
Catch-up mechanic: Everyone has that one lucky friend, that no matter what, always gets the right rolls, falls on the right spaces, dodges the worst consequences. Well. No one gets through PubCrawl unscathed. That’s why every chapter has an obligatory stop. So, even if you’re at space 11 and roll a 6, you still have to stop at 12, the end of chapter one. This way, your lucky friend can’t get away with it that easily, and you, unlucky one, always have a chance to win somehow.
Premium material: We wanted to make sure you will be able to use our game to its fullest. The board is made of a durable, spill resistant, wear and tear resistant, material. It has a rubbery back that adheres well to the table and lays perfectly flat. No bend corners. No washed-out colors. No Warping.
Quality inks with vibrant colors: We use a sublimation process with highly pigmented inks to seal the colors into the fabrics which results in sharp colors, keep all the details, and prevents colors of fading over time.
Dice and tokens can easily be replaced: We know that every PubCrawl game will see a lot of abuse. That’s why we wanted to keep the parts to a minimum. We get you started with a few dice and some bottle caps to play right out of the box. That’s really all you need. And if you want, loose, forget, break?, eat??, …, any piece; it’s all easy to replace. We even encourage you to come up with your own custom tokens to take you to victory!
Multiple languages: The game will be available upon release in both French and English. We are open to make it in other languages if we see that there is a demand for it.
Easy to transport, play anywhere: The choice of material makes this possible. You can grab the game in a hurry and throw it in your bag, and you’re good to go when your friends call you at the last minute. Plus, if you take the time to roll it properly and unveil the mystery at the party, you will get that ‘’WOW” effect and be the star of the evening.
We are TNT Games. Even though everything started as a dream, at home, it is now time to get official. That also means that we have the opportunity to do it well, and do it our way, right off the start. We want everything to be made locally or in-house. We are committing to giving you the best experience and the best value with our products. So, if we think of something that can make the game better, we will give it to you right away. The only stretch goals, if any, are going to be tied to real costs: like if we want to buy manufacturing equipment ($$$). We think that this remains true to the spirit of Kickstarter. Furthermore, we want to give you the chance to be part of the process. We are asking you to share on social media your ideas about what you would like to see made into the game. We will keep an eye out for your suggestions, and some of the spaces designed by the community will certainly make it into the final product. On top of that, one of you could be represented directly onto the game! Our "Highlight of the evening" contributor will have his/her picture drawn by our illustrator, in the style of PubCrawl, and will take the place of our mystery character! Please, just don’t stop eating for a year if you pledge this one.
Release: We would love to release the game before the end of the year, but realistically it will be more around the beginning of 2020. We can assure you that everything always takes more time than expected. Still if we can somehow make it for December, we will get it to you, but we prefer to delay it a bit if this makes a better game.
Shipping: Shipping will be charged after the campaign ends. We are working with different carriers to get the best pricing. Our goal is to get it as low as possible, so you pay no more than necessary. Depending on the success of the campaign, we might even get better deals.
Availability: We are currently planning on releasing the game in North America and Europe. We are more than interested to get it everywhere, and we will find a way to do so at some point.
