EMILY is an all-new 2D action-platformer based in a futuristic and decayed world, inspired by our favorite games. We are developing an experience that pays homage to the classics and delivers an innovative experience.
Play as EMILY, a teenager who fell victim to a vicious pandemic. In a desperate attempt to counter the infection, she was injected with an untested vaccine containing Nano-bots. However, a malfunction in the system caused the Nano-bots inside her body to overload, resulting in total absorption of her DNA, morphing her physical body into a mechanical structure.
- Fight hordes of intelligent drone units as you recover memories about your past.
- Upgrade your abilities and discover new weapons that will help you overcome epic boss battles as you access districts full of deadly contraptions.
- Explore an interconnected post-apocalyptic world full of dark secrets, alternate quests, and memorable characters.
OPEN EXPLORATION -
EMILY is a Metroidvania-style platformer with a big emphasis on open exploration. Players will have complete freedom of navigation, and as they gain new abilities, will be able to access multiple secret areas.
SYNTH-BLASTER – A first response drone was synthesized onto Emily’s arm by nano-bots, allowing her to blast enemies with electro magnetic pulses. This gadget has the capability of acquiring several upgrades, which will impact combat and navigation as the game progresses.
UPGRADES – M.R. Stations located across districts, will allow EMILY to re-charge and use data points to synthesize new weapons and enhance herself. These stations will also serve as save spots and checkpoints.
EMILY is being developed for PC and is designed to support game-pad controls. We are making it available through Steam first and DRM-free digital distribution systems. As part of our stretch goals we’d like to port the game to as many platforms as possible, but we need your support to make it happen! Our estimated release date is Fall 2015.
We are fortunate to have an awesome duo of talented musicians as part of our team, they are using retro inspired sounds and merging them with some fresh beats, creating very unique and haunting tracks!

We can't do this without your help! Kickstarter has sparked a movement that allows us, developers, to share ideas with you and listen to your input and feedback without the need of any intermediaries. This helps us enormously in creating a high-quality game that will surpass your expectations.
Having worked with publishers before, we’ve come to realize that we do not want to jeopardize the development and vision of the project by having rushed deadlines, and pressure from people who are only looking to make a quick buck out of the game.
We've decided to go down this path with our dreams, heart, and soul at hand (and what’s left of our savings account) with the goal of making the game we’ve always dreamed of and we need your help to make it happen!
Developing our game with our backer community in mind is key to us, we want to make sure you come along every step of the way.
Our Kickstarter’s pledge contemplates basic necessities which will allow us to work full-time on this game, reward fulfillment costs, Kickstarter fees, and taxes. Ultimately building an epic game that you will love!

Risks and challenges
We are well aware there’s always risks involved with any creative project- unforeseen development obstacles such as: feature implementation, tweaking, bug fixes, and porting the game. Fortunately we have worked as a team developing and shipping multiple titles. This has allowed us to plan ahead and create realistic milestones that will secure the development of the game to be on time and on budget.
On the technical side, we already own all the equipment and software licenses needed to develop the project allowing to funnel all funds directly into development costs. Our biggest challenge is not having to rely on contract work (or improvised street performances) to complete the project.
We are fully committed to make this game a reality, and we are excited to have you be a part of this project, helping us take this prototype and materializing it into an epic adventure!
