IMPORTANT REWARD INFO — Please Read!

Posted by Pixelscopic (Creator)

Since we have a lot of new backers, and the campaign only has a few more days remaining, we thought it would be a good time to clarify what rewards everyone is getting.

So here’s the deal: We ADDED some cool stuff to all of the tiers throughout the campaign, and are ADDING MORE right now! But we can’t change the wording in the rewards list sidebar (Kickstareter regulations!), so it’s hard to catch all of those details if you’re new. So in summary:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

YOU MAY BE GETTING COOL REWARDS YOU DON’T KNOW ABOUT!

------------------------------------ AND ---------------------------------------------

YOU MAY WANT TO UPDATE YOUR PLEDGE TO GET MORE COOL LOOT!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Scroll to the bottom and check out our new handy rewards chart, to make sure you know exactly what you're getting!

NEW TIER: And by popular request, we’re adding another tier so that you can get a second copy of the game (and set of codes) for $30! We also just added new physical items, and updated all tiers based on the currently attained stretch goals!

WE WILL NOT BE CHANGING / ADDING THE REWARDS AGAIN AFTER THIS UPDATE! So please make your final selections as we move into these last few days of the campaign.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

The items below have been ADDED to your reward tiers during the campaign, plus a few BRAND NEW items added today! Many of these are NOT MENTIONED in the sidebar, so read carefully — you’re getting extra stuff!

$15 Tier Bonuses

Included in all tiers $15 and up!

  • ADDED PLATFORMS! You receive copies for all six: PC, MAC, LINUX, iOS, ANDROID, OUYA
  • Digital download key for at least one digital distribution service (TBD) if/when our game is available on the service
  • Added access to the OPEN BETA in August! (Beta is desktop only).
  • NEW! Digital Manual — old school NES-style manual for the game! PDF format.
  • Stretch Goal Unlock: Linux support now occurs on day one of the desktop release, simultaneous with PC/Mac.
  • Stretch Goal Unlock: You now get an extra character class, making it SIX classes total!
  • Stretch Goal Unlock: An extra 9th zone has been added to the game, with new enemies, bosses, etc.
  • Also included in all higher tiers!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

$25 Tier Bonuses

  • Added Early Alpha Access in late June. Play the game before anyone else, and give us feedback!
  • NEW! VOTE on one more character class! Since we added the 6th class via the $100k stretch goal, you now get to vote on 3 characters out of 6 choices. YOU PICK HALF THE CLASSES THAT GO IN THE BASE GAME!
  • Also included in all higher tiers!

REWARDS CHART

So yeah, that was probably a lot to take in. That’s why we make pictures and charts and things! Check out this image for a 100% accurate graphing of EXACTLY what you are getting at your tier.

FINAL NOTES

If you are changing your backer amount, please make sure you also update your reward selection! This can be confusing, and it’s easy to add more dollars to your pledge while accidentally selecting a lower tier. So double check your reward and make sure it matches if you’ve updated your amount at any time!

That’s it! We hope we’ve run a really great campaign. Not that there haven’t been a few minor mistakes or miscommunications, but we pride ourselves on trying to be as clear, fair, honest, and transparent as possible. If you have any further questions or if we messed anything up in the rewards chart, please drop your comments below!

This is looking awesome, the support for OUYA is a great idea too, glad to see a high quality developer looking into it. This game looks great guys!

    2. Pixelscopic Creator on

Updated! Let me know if you find anything else.

    3. Kenneth B. Deshotel on

      Allright great! And no problem!

    4. Pixelscopic Creator on

Yes, it does. I think I forgot it in the cart. Will fix that soon! Thanks for the catch.

    5. Kenneth B. Deshotel on

Quick question guys. Does the $500 tier still allow the backer to create an in game enemy? Didn't see it on the new chart.

    6. Pixelscopic Creator on

@mrfatso - yes, we will create an update at some point. Not sure if we will have time to do so before the campaign is over - time is getting away from us! Still a lot to do in the last few days.

    7. mrfatso ~ Defender of The Goat on

will u guys be giving us an update on what exactly are those special item pack?

    8. Pixelscopic Creator on

@ryan - sure! We'd love to see it. We might even do something fan-art related later, or do an update with an art gallery if we get enough submissions. Who knows! It might be a while before we get enough to do the gallery though, but we'll keep everyone posted.

your game is going to be great, would you guys accept fan art if any was made to show how awesome i believe the game is going to be?

    10. Pixelscopic Creator on

@zacH - I think this close to the stretch goals, we probably would not want to change them... some people would could be really miffed about that. But it looks like we will very likely hit the $130k goal, if we keep up our current trajectory (plus the normal slight boost at the end). However, just so you're aware (maybe you already are) - the 2nd player will not control a Delver, they will control "familiars," which are summoned beasts / pets / spirits / etc. Even if we don't make the goal, though, we may be able to develop it anyway some day. We'll see!

@Pink-Pummy - Just FYI, this is Ryan Baker (our artist) responding. Unfortunately it looks like I won't have time to paint a mockup of the box before the campaign ends, but I can tell you a bit about the idea. It will be a nicely finished, wooden cigar box (stained and finished), with metal corners and possibly a latch to make it look very polished and reminiscent of a treasure chest. We are hoping to get the logo laser-engraved on the top of the box, and will wrap it with a ribbon and possibly wax seal. Inside may be lined with cloth. It will house the game DVD case, so it will be slightly larger than a normal DVD case in size - so about 6"x8" Hope that helps!

I'm really excited for this game... and really excited the linux stretch goal was reached. :)

The one thing I do think is unfortunate is that the 2 player local co-op is two stretch goals away... I think I'd personally be more motivated to contribute more if that goal were more in reach. The thought of having a friend play through the single player campaign sounds more appealing than a deathmatch/horde mode, but I might be alone in that opinion.

I only mention because I know teams have reassessed their stretch goals based on feedback before. :) so I thought I'd throw in my two cents. Either way, I can't wait for this to come out! Good luck with the remaining days of the kickstarter, guys!

Loving this project more with each update! :D
Also is there any chance for hints about the look of the premium hand crafted box as well as it's size? It is...very tempting :)

    14. Christopher N on

      You guys are freaking awesome.

    15. Thomas Henry Ward on

Why that's so awfully kind of you people!

    16. Pixelscopic Creator on

We did find one error in the chart - the $25 tier DOES NOT get a second gift credit or 2nd copy (3rd item in the list) - that goes with the $30 tier.

    17. Pixelscopic Creator on

Yes, any tier that gets 2 copies will also get 2 keys for any digital items they are getting. So at $50 you would get 2 keys for all digital items. But for example at the $25 tier, you would only get 2 keys for item packs 1 and 2.

    18. finallyanime on

Excellent chart. I predict people's mouth will water hardcore lol

    19. Caleb Kester on

Hey, I just want to make sure the all digital tier contains 2 keys for all of the kickstarter items. It sounds like it does but just wanted to double check. Or is it just for the Pack 1 and Pack 2?

    20. Pixelscopic Creator on

@John - Thanks for the suggestion! That all sounds really great. We will heavily consider using Bandcamp to distribute our digital versions.

If you add the soundtrack to Bandcamp, your digital soundtrack reward won't be limited to just MP3 files, as Bandcamp handles all of the back-end stuff and offers lossless quality files too. You also have the ability to generate codes, so you can give codes to backers to download the soundtrack for free, as well as having it on a storefront where people can purchase the soundtrack if they wanted to.
