CSS From Photoshop Layers in Real-Time

First, we want to thank the early backers of our project. We are all very excited and we need your support in further spreading the word to keep up the momentum.

In the mean time, we've been working hard and wanted to update everyone on some progress we've made. We can now read Photoshop layer settings (specifically layer fx) directly into the Pixate Visualizer. What does this mean? It means that you will be able to design in Photoshop without exporting any bitmaps. The Visualizer can read the layer information from Photoshop as CSS and the Pixate Engine can render it directly, in a scalable, resolution-independent way.

As a simple example, below you can see a gradient shape defined in Photoshop, the CSS that's created by the Visualizer, and the resulting preview rendered into the Navigation Bar of our sample app. Even though you can't see that here, all of this is done in real-time, there are no import/export steps!

This makes my day. As a designer by choice and coder by necessity, this will be my ultimate tool.

This will be really powerful. I hope more people join in!
