The sweetness and creativity of Studio Ghibli, the setting and atmosphere of Blade Runner and the humor and game style of Monkey Island: these are the ingredients that inspired ENCODYA, a point-and-click adventure game set in a dystopian future.
We are going to release the game for Windows, Macs and Linux. And we plan to later port it for mobile and consoles. The game will be DRM-free and published on Steam, GOG and other platforms. You'll get a key to your favorite one or a download link!
Watch the trailer:
Neo Berlin 2062. Tina – a nine-year-old orphan – lives with SAM-53 – her big clumsy robot guardian –in a rooftop makeshift shelter in Neo-Berlin, a dark megalopolis controlled by corporations. Tina is an urban jungle kid, who has learned to live alone, scavenging from city dumpsters and eking out a living from scraps. Her funny robot is always with her, programmed to protect her no matter what.
One day, the little girl discovers that her father left her an important mission: to finish his plan to save the world from grayness! Tina and SAM embark on an incredible adventure across different realities full of bizarre robotic creatures and grotesque human beings. Through puzzles and exciting dialogues, they’ll find out the true meaning of being alive.
The game mechanic is the one of classic point-and-clicks: use the mouse cursor to walk around, explore a scene, interact with items and talk with characters. Furthermore, the developer introduced some randomization elements, to make each new game unique.

Besides the game itself – with lots of bonus digital features such as wallpapers, concept arts, videos, soundtrack and more – there are many cool extras: film posters, blu-rays, t-shirt and even a retro style physical copy of ENCODYA in a box!
But the most attractive rewards are the ones that will place the backers into the game itself! See your name in the Neo Berlin phonebook or on a neon sign, or be in a poster, or even become an NPC with whom the player can interact and talk!
Here some new perks:

The game is developed by Nicola Piovesan and Chaosmonger Studio. It’s the first big game project for our award-winning film production company. As veterans of cinema and animation, however, we are committed to high quality standards and pledge to apply these standards to all elements of our game, including storyline, visual aesthetic, acting, music and sound.
The main characters are voiced by professional voice actors, including the guest star Richard Epcar, the voice of Raiden in Mortal Kombat or The Joker in several Batman games! And the talented Lizzie Freeman, known for “Sword Art Online” and “Fire Emblem Heroes”, along with many others.
Furthermore, we have already a publisher that will take care to distribute ENCODYA worldwide!
It's Assemble Entertainment, an independent games publisher and developer, best known for games like the adventures of Leisure Suit Larry or the Pizza Connection series.
Risks and challenges
Like with every indie game, the biggest challenge will be to complete the project on time while optimizing limited funds and creating a high quality product.
This is something we have mastered in over 15 years of working in the media business. The Kickstarter campaigns for "Attack of the Cyber Octopuses" and "Robot Will Protect You" were both successful, with a high satisfaction rate from our backers and - most importantly – delivered exactly when planned!
Another proof of fast quality delivery is the demo of ENCODYA itself, which we've released after only 4 months of development!
We know, however, that the risks and challenges will be many and around every corner. So we promise to keep you updated on a regular basis even after the end of the fundraising campaign.
